I think "competent" is fair. After he said he chalked up 100+ day seasons, I expected something pretty spectacular, and that's not what we got. It's plausible that you don't have video of your best lines, but regardless, I'd say the burden of proof was on him and he didn't deliver.

I don't have any videos really but I'm also not the one trolling and swinging my dick around after getting called out about never posting anything snow sports related on a snow sports forum.

There isn't a good snowboard forum AFAIK. I snowboard 100+ days a year, doubt there are many on this forum better than me.

My expectations were also much higher hence the let down. I'd say not bad for a middle aged dentist on vacation.

.... many private hospitals have emergency rooms and take anyone that comes in. Whether they end up paying or not is another thing. Many many people also come into private hospitals and in labor or have emergency surgeries who never pay a dime of their bill. The hospitals absorb that and still pay their nurses and staff but the contracted doctors take a bath on it.

This past Wednesday’s In The Bubble podcast is about kids, delta, and schools. They bring up the possibility of off-label vax (Rx) of kids under 12 after the fda approves the existing vaxes in the US and before there’s approval or EUA for the under 12 vaccines. An interesting concept.

A couple we're friends with had their 11 yr/old who has asthma, vaccinated at the site at the state capitol a few month ago. Their pediatrician recommended it to them because, at the time, they didn't check birthdates and the risk was so great with asthma that in his opinion it was worth it vs. potentially getting the rona. I'm being Montuckey'esq with my one offs but thought it interesting.

So I got the J&J shot back in March. I went though this whole thing this year that I'm sure has left me immunocompromised, to some extent, for now at least, and my family has been leaning on me hard to get one dose of one of the other shots. Whats the consensus on this? My reading (but I haven't really been keepng up lately) indicates there's no point to this additional jab. What say yez?

Absolutely talk to your PCP. I have seen multiple patients who are vaccinated and become ill because of their body's immunosupression from cancer treatments. The new data is for third dosing for them but I am unaware of cross vaccinating with different types. J&J have yet to say a second dose will be beneficial nor has the CDC (again to my knowledge).
