The health care organization I work for and many others across the nation have started requiring vaccines for all employees. I think this speaks to the severity of the situation due to the delta variant. Most health care systems require flu vaccines or give employees the option to wear a mask during flu season. I doubt they will give the same option for the Covid vaccine as the risk to patients and other staff is to large.

This should make for some interesting legal battles between employer and employees over the vaccine requirement.

    DeSantis is killing it. Literally.
FYI, 10 per 100K in Florida means ~2100 people in ICU's across the state.

Moderna claims it doesn't wane after 6 months. Series of 3 boosters expected.

The law is pretty clear. The employers can mandate and the employees can put up or shut up. I think majority of major hospital systems will have a mandate by the end of this month. FDA was always likely to approve Pfizer and Moderna in August and September.

Hospitals have been mandating MMR, HepB, Varicella, and seasonal Influenza for a long time now. This is just one more.

Yeah, that particular one works for a lot of people.

How do you know the singer is at the door?

He can't find the key, and doesn't know when to come in.

How do you know the guitar player is at the door?

Oh, don't worry, he'll be sure to tell you

That makes sense, thanks for the info.

I’m assuming this will lead to some of the antivaxers that work in health care will leave field. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing, except there’s already staffing shortages.

Interesting that many who are probably anti Union and pro "right-to-work" don't believe employers should be able to mandate vaccines for their employees.

We’re adjudicating elective surgery again, it’s a combo of rising Covid admissions and around 100 open nursing positions.

Yeah, I spent years playing in bands, and the stereotypes definitely exist for a reason.

How many frontmen does it take to replace a lightbulb?

One. He holds the bulb up, and the world revolves around him.
