FS: Saaburu - 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero 5MT (SLC)
I've really enjoyed driving my Saaburu and am going to miss it, but our family is growing and it's time to sell. If you aren't familiar with the Saab 9-2X Aero, this is essentially a Subaru WRX with a nicer interior. The Saaburu is rare and hard to find -- particularly with the 5 speed manual transmission. This is a very fun car to drive, but is also very practical given the hatchback and hitch/roof rack.
This sport wagon is in good condition. There are some cosmetic marks here and there, but nothing unusual. I am the 2nd owner -- this car spent its life in Arizona and California before coming with me to Utah. Neither myself or the original owner smoked. Has 120K miles -- majority is highway and going up / down LCC.
I have a big stack of service records you are welcome to have. I was rear-ended last year and needed a new bumper, but that is the only incident. I am including 2 sets of wheels in the sale -- the pictured black wheels with Blizzak winter tires, and a set of stock Saab wheels with Cooper summer tires. Oil changes were always done every 3000 miles using high end synthetic oil. The timing belt and water pump was changed in April 2016 at 75K miles. I recently had the brakes and A/C serviced.
Over the years, I've made several tasteful upgrades/additions:
• JVC KW-R910BT bluetooth head unit
• Prodrive axleback exhaust (subtle, but sounds nice)
• Scoobysport catless downpipe (still includes cat in midpipe, I've always passed emissions, but I'll include the stock downpipe just in case)
• STI catless uppipe
• Cobb Stage 2 tune
• Kartboy Short shifter kit
• Whiteline 24mm rear sway bar
• K&N Air Filter
• Added hitch
• Added roof rack
Asking $4650

Free bump, great car...had one for a while and got to ~215k without anything major. Great in snow. FWIW I sold mine in 2018 w/ 215k for ~2500$...I’d say asking price is on the money

I had that car (5-speed manual) from 0-115,000. Fun car to drive. Small, light and quick! Oh the memories.
Very little maintenance overall. Basically a WRX w a Saab wrap - slight suspension steering upgrades .... but Subaru dependability. Also very light doors. Subaru feel not Saab tank feel for sure. Great in snow w good winter tires.Last edited by Doremite; 12-05-2020 at 06:58 PM.

Saaburu’s are the best..rarely see them these days; if I didn’t live across the country I’d look to pick this up.

Just sold the Saaburu locally. Hearing that last rumble as it pulled away was a bittersweet moment!
