Skico’s not making you wear a mask on the Gondi, just inside facilities.

Got my Premier locked in today.

A few drinks at Jimmy's last night for a last goodbye. Another one bites the dust!

Sweet! Got mine and the wife all set as well. After moose season first week of October is done, I will be ready for the snow to start flying!

Sucks to see Jimmy's go, but I am sure he will enjoy the retirement.

Shred or anyone else, I am still thinking of hitting the Snowmass bike park next weekend to say I did it once this year (out of town closing weekend) does one day work better then the other for you?

Wonder if I redeem my Premier code for this season if I can pay for the bike park season pass now for next year and use it next weekend (doubt it)? Always good to save $52. I will call and ask.

    2020/21 Aspen/Roaring Fork Thread

Just hit me up next week. I’m out everyday, usually hit the Gondi 10ish.
Your last years pass is still good and has a 50% voucher.

They are tweaking a lot of the trails this fall.

I'm still not bike park worthy... Enjoy.

We haven't been in a while, but we used to go to Jimmy's once/month. We'll miss that one.

Leaves are holding on this year! peak up near the bells should be late this week with the cold weather coming through.

I’m going to miss Jimmy’s, even though we’ll probably still see him. I don’t like the trend of expensive places, that had great bar menu’s.
Being replaced by ultra expensive places.
Rustiq, Pinions and Jimmy’s will all be missed.

I love the area up above Ruedi.

Tonight the wife and I are riding back from above Elk Waller, there’s a huge bull moose in the way and it’s getting dark. We’re yelling, screaming, making as much noise as possible and there were no fucks given by the moose.

Finely after ten minutes, he wandered out of the way. We continued on and I heard something, I’ve never heard and never will again.

It really is cool and vast up there. Lime creek is always great camping.

It is a place we spend a lot of time camping with the kiddos, but does seem to be getting more and more crowded. Hopefully they keep additional recreation up there limited (trail building, etc.)

Any mags with a specific favorite mezcal from Jimmy's bar?

We had some friends in town for the weekend and got the rare babysitter and went to Acquolina for dinner. Food prices are highish, but not absolutely insane. I must say, I was absolutely blown away by the liquor list. Holy crap, they have a small fortune sitting on those shelves. If you are a whiskey, scotch, bourbon, tequila, gappa or rum sipper....hell of a place to sit and have a drink!

You can take that deep now it’s definitely an improvement. I used to bottom out my fork a fair bit coming off that thing. When I raced battle axe earlier this season they had to route everyone around that feature after a couple people fell off the side and got hurt

Things sure are pretty around here right now. Got some good time in the mountains this weekend and even saw snow on the bells yesterday

Yeah I've always been stunned by the volume (and overhead cost) of the booze they kept on hand. Not that it's going to spoil, but just excessive. Kinda like Hops when they first opened and had 200+ bottles along with 30 taps.

That last mound with the scrubby trees is one of my favorite lunch spots ever.

Acquolina has so much bourbon I forgot existed.... I could get in trouble there.

No we attempted Daly but didn't make it all the way. The south ridge was wayyy slower route finding than our beta led us to believe so we bailed about halfway across due to weather and time concerns. Fun adventure though

You have a lot on your plate.

I just assumed you were finishing your run from home, up Sunnyside, toting the twins.

Just got back from hunting moose (hunting partners tag) and man alive, the drive back on 92 was gorgeous. Maybe I am getting old and more sentimental, but the leaves have really been making me greatful this year to see these views regularly.

Got the new bike out today for basically her first real ride (and mine). Did viewline to deadline. Only saw one other biker, at the bottom, which is probably for the best. I was not setting any records (up or down), but it sure was fun!

I did have to stop a couple times going up viewline…hopefully the cardio and legs come fast. New goal before the snow flies is to the top without stopping.

Deadline is super fun, especially the jumps, but I need to work on berms and looking through the turns. I was not fast enough on some of the jumps and was on the breaks to much…but hey, first timer here! Have not rode single track since 8th grade in the woods back east on trails we built ourselves. Fingers crossed it comes.

Only ended up off the trail in the bushes twice!
