    Voile Buster?

I wouldn't normally consider a 7 yr old touring ski, but I found some that look like they were maybe skied 2 or 3 days total. Don't know anything about them, can't find much online. My only experience with Voile is the current Hyperchargers, which I love for a light ski. Anyone got any info on them? They're ugly as hell.

I've borrowed a pair of 176cm mounted tele about 6 or 10 days, mostly deeper days in CO and one not so deep day at Mad River Glen. My take is they were really well balanced - nimble in woods and trees, surprisingly good on hardpack, and floaty enough for my 170 lbs in soft snow, even at that short (by TGR standard) length. Of course I am a cautious old tele geezer so YMMV. But the owner - my son - has used them for touring and some lift-served days as well - and they seem to be holding up pretty well despite his penchant for jumping off things and running into trees.

The review I linked is consistent with my understanding a few years back when we purchased them - i.e. based on the Drifter. If anyone could compare the Hypercharger to the Drifter, that would probably be helpful info.

Several years ago Sierra Trading Post had them for sub-$150. if i thought I would want 120 under
foot in VT, I should have bought a half dozen pairs.

thanks. I did see that first review. I'm tempted to buy them, as they're in very good shape, but...I found an old customer review that said they ripped bindings out of them, plus they have a light wood core, and are 7 years old, which means a dried out light wood core... I dunno. Not sure if doing quiver killers would make it worse or better. I know Voile wont warranty their new skis if you use QK's. but the reviews make them sound like my kind of ski. They're a little overpriced, and ugly AF.

They have the same aspen core that they use in their regular line of skis today. I've never had a problem with inserts in Voile skis. That said, I've never skied them - only Chargers, Vectors, and Objective.

I had some vectors. my first touring skis, actually. I didn't like them. I like the hyperchargers, though. hand flexing the Busters, they seemed good.
