Illadelf Half-life is a way better Roots album. Top 20 hip hop album of the 90s for sure.

Speaking if 90s hip hop. Damn I miss good hip hop, still listen to a lot of it but want to hear something new. Late 80s-about 2004 had some fantastic hip hop. The new stuff is just horrible to my ears. There’s no flow and the drum machine sound always sounds the same. The music industry really killed the music by not allowing groups to use samples.

OP if you really want to scare the rednecks play the first couple Dead Prez albums, straight fire!

And props to the Handsome Boy Modeling school suggestion, great stuff. There’s actually 2 albums and they did another spin off called Loveage.

Other hip hop suggestions: Latryx, Blackalicious, The Coup, Freestyle fellowship, Haiku D’Etat, Heiro, J 5, People Under the Stairs, Pharcyde, Surreal and the sound providers, x-ecutioners.

I think I’d rather get Covidz and be in an ICU than listen to that, but glad it worked for you.

One of our patrollers at Beech is also a DJ. Music selection is pretty limited. Southern Rock works.

Sitting here listening to Steve Winwood/Spencer Davis Group--Gimmie Some Lovin'

    Don't forget Bluegrass.
In order to properly convert this thread to a polyasshat thread to more fully enrage the liberal left frequenting here...... (insert latest democratic blunder of your choice).

How has no one mentioned Arrested Development yet? Ahead of their time. Still love those tunes. Hell, I even love the Speech solo stuff.

Unlike Dr Octagon, his lyrics were actual rational thoughts.

Regarding full albums that deserve to be played in their entirety, don't forget the Repo Man soundtrack. And Joe's Garage. However, I am wondering just how far one can push things at a family resort in the South. Watch out for hydraulic turtles.
