welp, last payday today and i am headed up to turn in my uniform. pretty shitty job overall, i'd say. but not all is lost. i learned some knowledge, skied a marginal amount, made a friend or two that i will likely never speak with again, and was put on to dr octagon. it could have been much worse. in conclusion, i will never work as a liftie again and that is okay.

That’s why you always got to check your astroplanet. Never know what’s back there.

I heard the Roots covering Genius/GZA's Liquid Swords on the cuts to and from commercial on Fallon last night after flipping over from the soccer game. Which means I've had it going all morning for the first time since at least 2000.

Highly recommend and would pair well with a fixed triple.

    Bump.

I swore off bumping chairs after last season but here I am, with an interview tomorrow at the Yellowstone Club. I think it goes without saying, fuck the YC, but if they will pay me, let me ski the pow stashes, and let me work weekends only, sign me up.

Living the dream, good work SUF! I expect them to be pretty stingy about ride breaks, but maybe they're less uptight than I imagine.

The hard part about my affliction is that I can only keep the thoughts of hydraulic turtles out of my mind for finite periods of time.

Lack of employees, even at YC I would expect, will mean less breaks. Serve lunch to the rich, make bank.

I mean, my image of the YC is that they wouldn't want filthy lifties schralping the pow that their snooty members paid millions to ski. But that's just me talking out my ass.

YC worker bees get lift passes at Pig Sty. No way is the club going to let some scum ride up a chair with Jennifer Garner.

"Benefits include inclusion in the service charge pool (depending on department), participation in the ski pass program, a complimentary pass for public transportation between Big Sky/Bozeman upon hire, and the opportunity to participate in employee ski days at Yellowstone Club."

Remember that scene in Caddy Shack where the caddy's get like 5 minutes in the pool?

Expect less and you'll be fine.

Yeah it's usually a day at the end of the season and it usually rains...

But I know people who have patrolled and been lifties there. Lifties said it was great for studying most days. This was like ten years ago. Fuck commuting the canyon even on the bus.

The wording there is important I think. "Opportunity" reads like there is some lottery system or incentive program.

As mentioned, expect a day or two of skiing at the YC. The rest will be the aforementioned Big Sky pass.

I skied the YC. Once. It was all time as it happened to be Super Bowl. The only tracks we skied over were our own. Epic.
