What's Going On At Mammut?
I purchased a Barryvox Beacon in January of 2018. It saw maybe 10 days of use that year.
The last two seasons I have used it every day throughout the ski season.
Last March, shortly after COVID shut down the ski area, I heard the beacon go through the power up sequence in my pocket when I was on the skinner. I heard it twice that day. I changed the batteries and it did the same thing the next day. I pulled it out of my pocket to check and the blinking indicator light was off even though the switch was firmly in send mode.
I went to Mammut's website and filled out a warranty claim. The beacon has a 5 year warranty. It has been 12 days and I have had no response. I spoke to the neighboring resort's snow safety team who only uses uses only Mammut gear (we use BD/Ortovox) and they said they haven't gotten any of their orders in.
Is anyone else in the process of ordering or warrantying and not having any communication from them?
Fortunately I have a work-issued beacon to use, but I really liked the Barryvox.

Mammut has a sale going on now, so they're probably slammed. Whyturn put in an order last week and got it today though.

I got a survey from M re a new avy pack - went on and on with different sizing and features (including a roll top possibility). I got a disc code I'll prob post, don't think I need anything from em. So they're working on something. Just maybe not warranty items!

I had mine repaired last year, I had to send to Canada. It took about a month from when i sent it and filled out the warranty claim until I received it back fixed and fresh.
