Official update "I-90 Snoqualmie Pass on track to open Sunday. A time to be provided late Sunday morning."

Late Sunday morning announcement does not sound promising for Sunday skiing.

    Their website:

All areas at The Summit will remain closed Saturday, January 8 and Sunday, Jan 9 due to I-90 extended closure. We plan to re-open Monday, Jan 10 pending the status of I-90, but may have delays and limited operations. We will continue to provide updates as soon as we have them.

As much as this has sucked, I do appreciate the updates/pictures/video they've been doing. They've stepped it up in that area at least.

That's an insane amount of snow and that rain looked gross.

I went up last night and unfortunately did not get to begin my campaign in embracing the rain. I did however enjoy the spring-like conditions! Cool low-hanging clouds on a beautiful night above!

Country club vibes on the padded seats. Snow was Pura mierda with the consistency of velcro hook and loop.
5 up top 5 down low . The beatings will continue until morale improves.

You say "country club" yet the pics and descriptions have more of a "soup kitchen" vibe.

Move upside and let the man go through...

Anyone ski chair 2 today? Wondering how fun conditions are or if I should just go straight to hyak tomorrow.

I don't think it opened today due to ice. That probably gives an answer. First lesson weekend this week, too.
Edit - I guess they got it open this afternoon. Curious to hear as well.

Could be traffic jams on Debbie's with lessons this weekend if they cant get the traverse open and the upper mountain remains icy

It certainly should be albeit crowded with lessons.

I skinned a few laps at Hyak early afternoon with 100 of my closest friends after Summit’s twitter feed said chair 2 wouldn’t open today. I didn’t dare venture off piste with my little uphill sticks, it looked pretty chunky.

Primo corn off the top, even lower as the day went on. Nice little inversion with blue skies in the afternoon. I'd come back, weather permittingClick image for larger version.

    2 skied great.

There was an inversion, so 2 was in general softer than Debbies.

Love to hear it. I'm heading up for a night session at Central. If anyone is up there, keep a look out. Blue jacket, navy pants, will be on MFree 108s.

Took a few afternoon laps with my kids on Silver Fir. Crowded AF at times, but snow skiing well.

Silver was the place to be this evening. Armstrong closed @4pm (???), central express was a goat rope.
