It was good in the trees and shade. The sun must have come out yesterday, there was a noticable but still soft higher density layer near the surface where sun affected. I skinned a couple laps at hyak and then jumped over to silver for a few more when they opened. Fun, but it won't last. International would have been great today.

Kendall Trees was great last night up high. Once into the lowest elevations (luge track), it got sticky and heavy. Still worth it to make some great turn in deep, light pow.

    Thanks I'm locked in!!!

Gotta wonder how fast the spring tier (or unlimited passes in general) will sell out this year. Could be an ugly situation similar to baker, white pass like we saw last year

Have a great day. I am targeting tomorrow morning. I'll likely be the only one there.

Anybody participate in or familiar with the Master's race team? I've never raced before but am looking at it for a good way to get some expert coaching and improve my skiing.

I know they say no experience required, but is the coaching decent and it's not just running gates every night?

Whether or not I do it would change my pass plans for next year so gotta figure that out before they go on sale.

Pretty sure it's a bunch of fat dudes in spandex with Austrian and German accents taking themselves way to seriously

Hopefully less crowded tomorrow. Should be up in a blue coat orange helmet and super goats unless it’s too crowded and we go skinning instead

I figured lines would be crazy at alpental, and was convinced away from it. Silver fir had a little at start, but was clear by the second run. Never saw more than a minute wait after that. Over the top first few! So good to be getting face shots of that quality in April. Big time turns on chair 2 I bet

Snow was great, crowds were not. Managed one Ch2 lap, then hung out waiting for international for a bit but had to bail at 11 to take over the afternoon baby shift from my wife.

Amazing day. Best April powder I can remember.

Had patience enough for 4/5 chair 2 laps and a bunch of chair 1. Snowed most the day too.

Still good quality down near the base this afternoon? I plan to come help myself to leftovers on wildside this evening.

Of course I drove out of town yesterday morning. That makes it 5 for 5 of me leaving town for the best snow of the year. Stoked for everyone getting some! Looks like it's supposed to snow all week so next weekend should be good, too.
