Do you really want all the disgruntled skiers from Stevens and Crystal showing up?

Just tell the Stevens folks that Alpental also only had 2 lifts (and the bunny hill) running this weekend

Crazy weekend for sure. 12 inches or so in north bend. Done shoveling. May head up and grab some sweet packed powder!

Well, my last visit to Alpy was so convincing that I bought my midweek pass this weekend. Funny that it is called a "Remedy Pass" as in the answer to my personal Stevens woes.

Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

An inch of fairy dust covered yesterdays tracks, got 2 lower runs in before Snoqualmie and Alpental lost power sometime around 10:00. Temps in the mid teens.
A fraction of the usual miscreants lurked lot4 for an hour before Debbies fired up on diesel. Chair 2 hung static.

So it was fun lapping the lower rollers, super carvable snow with diaphanous frostings with the k00ks. But I had a bunch of things to deal with so I was out of there at 12:00. Roads up had been decent except a super sketchball segment going Eastbound down into North Bend. My family of 3 drivers is down to 2 snow tired cars, so I'll have to take tomorrow off.

Absolute blower. First tracks straight down international, next run was near first tracks snake dance. Next was first time through elevator gate. Some nice lines. I need much more time in there to nail down good routes. Last run down snake dance again. Cut up, but oh so buttery. Glorious views above the clouds just above chair two load...

Looking forward to hearing about the high traverse which I bet drops today. My legs were done and a lot of honey do's to ensure Sunday and Monday happen!!!

Have a great new years you all.

I was hoping we'd get Monday given that it's a holiday for many folks, myself included...but summit's website says nope.

Phenomenal day. Toured across the street in the morning and nabbed some elevator time in the afternoon.

Out Nash gate was good. Real good. This has been a crazy cycle of cold storms and sun breaks. I ain't mad about it.

Got 1 warmup egate lap in, then Nash popped. 2nd shift was great today. Weekend crowds and parking situation cannot dampen my stoke on 2 snowcat movie mini golf laps out that ways.

Given no snow tonight, is it likely all gates open first thing? Or is it a reevaluate everyday for sure?

You won't know unless you go.

I'd be surprised if they aren't open early.

Yeah, is going to take some shuffling on the homefront, but worth it if I can be home after a few laps. Thanks.
