Every time I read about other hills/resorts in the area and around the country, I'm thankful for how Boyne runs Summit in a generally decent manner. The one misstep I see in their management is shutting down night skiing so early, especially at Alpental. The base is fat, it's still skiing well, they are getting people coming. If they pumped it, added the Alpy spring park and put more tickets for sale, they could get a decent turn out. Especially in this year where skiing has been such a Covid relief. I'm sure I'm wrong on the economic viability of it. I'm just bummed as a working stiff that gets over half my skiing "days" at night.
Sick picture, SorryBro. The ice always makes a killer backdrop for night pics.

Totally agree. They absolutely nailed the parking solution this year just at the right time - that literally saved the season.
Summit has the best uphill policy anywhere as well.
Looking forward I'd totally pay another $50 for my pass next year if nights at Alpental were extended through March, etc. Obviously can't predict the snowpack next year but if it made the financial difference it would be worth it.

What's the deal with no night skiing at Alpental tonight?
Also, I agree, the reducing schedule is a major bummer. Night skiing has been so great this year.

Had fun ripping around central and silver today with my little bro in tow. I forgot how much fun sunny groomer days can be! Busted out the K2 extremes after lunch and went fast and jumped off things. Lines got long later in the day... Felt like a weekend.

fuck that noise.

Last night at Alpental for the season was a good send off. Had 2 of my boys up for some firm turns. Had a Slackey sighting early and was able to hook up with SorryBro for a few laps. I'm really going to miss these nights. Hopefully we can get an extension, but not counting on it. Still so much snow. Looking forward to sunny turns at Hyak tomorrow.

And what about only 6 midweek days on the calendar left with 04/11 the last weekend day. Could this be for real?
