Alpental is the only location where the scanner guns are more efficient than the RFID gate…. They must send their lifties to USMC Scout Sniper School cause they can hit my ticket from 14’ with my jacket half covering the barcode.

The scanners have been training for alpental all summer.

Easier access and more folks going out the gates. What could go wrong? I wonder if the E-gate policy and designation will change to fully controlled, in-bounds, signed terrain?

Looking forward to 2030 when Alpental will be able to open their lifts by 9 am on a powder day... if powder days at the pass even exist in 8 years!

Summit North stickers available at Central this weekend. Why they aren't available at Summit North, who knows? I'll be up Saturday with a couple kids in tow. Should be fun spring skiing.

Alpental will be open Friday and Saturday, and pass holder appreciation day on may 1 @ alpental and central. Doesn't look like a reservation is required this time. Unused buddy passes can be used on Sunday, per the website.

Is staffing the reason for no Cinco this year? Plenty of coverage.

Alpy park and Cinco were two of the coolest ways to wrap up the lift served season. Bit of a bummer, hopefully its not a new precedent being set.

That podcast linked a while back had Guy referencing needing to focus staff on the busy spring and summer ahead. The whole thing is definitely worthy of a listen.

2018 was the last actual Cinco opening. It's been pretty rare the last 10 years. If it was a Friday/Saturday, we'd have a better chance. Alpy park was awesome, but even more rare than Cinco. With Central staying open this long, not a surprise they didn't do one.

Friday opening is good to see, would've been nice to have that all month.

I can't remember the last non-weekend Cinco opening and wouldn't really expect it going forward.

Yah! Heading to lot 4 now, about an hour & change away. We are in a blue Nissan truck. Hoping to meet up with a bunch of you!

And Lego & I would really like to take turns skiing the side country…if anyone who is familiar with the areas past the gates would be willing to show us around that would be awesome!

Season pass holders only today. Not sure if a buddy pass will work.

    May want to check first.

Back at ya. Glad to finally see some faces, shake hands and get a few laps in with the crew. Enjoyable skiing + lot 4 mag hospitality, great way to wrap it up. Feeling a little more serenity about the end of the season today.
