Tore my Achilles at the end of April and figured I'd be lucky to be skiing by the end of January.

PT gave me the okay for skiing yesterday so I'll be heading up on Sunday. Planning on taking it easy the first few days this season but hopefully back at full strength when my daughter starts Freeride in January

Take it easy for at least a year man. Tearing it again will be horrible. Did mine in feb two years ago this coming feb and took it real easy my first year skiing. My surgeon, top achilles surgeon in the NW as well as my PT made a point for me to not overdo it and take it easy.

I'll be at Central. May have a couple tween girls with me, but I fully expect them to ditch me. Light blue jacket, dark blue pants, black helmet on red Bonafides today.

Hope you get some good turns. I am doing Xmas preparation chores...planning tomorrow if the snow comes in after the rains. Otherwise, fingers crossed these next two weeks for some epic windows!!!

Cheers for the advice, always good to hear from people that have dealt with this injury.

My PT said that he doesn't see skiing as being problematic now, as long as I take it easy and back off if I feel anything weird at all. He said that a soccer return is at least a month away though.

My plan is to take it easy on the groomers at West the first few days I head up. If I feel okay I'll start ramping up the steepness and difficulty.

Fun day at central showing Falcon3 around .Yesterday's freezing rain blanketed everything with an ice crust but it was supportive enough not to cause too much trouble. Looking forward to Alpentals opening hopefully Wednesday. We'll see.

I saw someone yesterday that I thought was him and was really hoping he was still in custody.

I just got done reading the original thread from a Google search.

    So fucked up.

As others said, he made me feel uneasy the few times I was around him. Glad he got time, but it sounds like he should have got more.

It was a fun day. Nice Pics SirVic. That was my first day at Central. Perhaps I am getting soft in my old age, but there were some nice lines on the top section. Not long, but that's ok!

flakes in the air in North Bend. Might be some nice turns during the sweet spot this afternoon when the snow for the day has accumulated before the warming hits...

Edelweiss Chair and beyond... Alpental , The valley and the rest of snocrummy

Good storm overnight, 4-6” and falling hard right now at Central. How are there only like 30 cars in the entire lot at 8:40?

    I'll preface by saying, I DO work...but:

I just saw on the Alpental Mid Mountain Cam two ski patrollers in view. They were carrying what looked like a bunch of poles for marking obstacles. I like that.

I have not heard anything as I know nobody in the know, but also just saw on the cam the chair is running. Guessing it's possible. That said, weather does not look favorable with a warm up tuesday into Tuesday night.
