Chair 2 laps this morning were fun. Ski on, no lines, soft snow. International closed. Legs turned to jelly around noon and nearly tumbled down the Fan so I Graciously conceded knowing its early season and don’t need an injury. Brought the old girls out after a fresh base grind.

Do you have a rough estimate when the gates will open? think Monday's storm will be enough, or did the rain open up enough holes and creeks that itll take another couple of storms?
Monday’s storm ☔️ NWAC is saying 6k snow level [emoji25]

Be prepared for massive (oh yeah) debris piles when they do open up

Such a wacky weather system. It's currently raining at the top of Alpental at 5400' and snowing at my house at 600' about 20 miles west. Amazingly sharp temp gradient across the cold front.

I'm still hopeful they'll pick up 6"+ at the tail end of this to make for good skiing during the dry week ahead.

Got about 5-6 inches of beautiful spackle (that’s what she said) at around 1200 ft and still coming down.

Hopefully more up high, good for the base eh.

So pissed . Got up early for first chair. Got geared up in lot 3 and someone drove up and told me the news. Drove over to Hyak to do a quick tour and there were at least 50 cars already parked there to go touring by 830. 2020 sucks

My guess is they want to try and let the pack stabilize before bombing it tomorrow A. M.

Don't want to push all the new snow into runoff zones leaving only snow from 12/9 and prior on the steeper aspects. NWAC was saying they are still waiting for the big avalanche cycle in the Alpental Valley that happened at Stevens and Crystal already.
    Idk.

Not sure when but they do indeed plan on doing nights at alpy until 9pm this year instead of 10. Without all the international employees they are spread a little thin.
Btw That picture was taken im the morning but has the same effect

Snow was too light to soften the crust much first thing. But, as it warmed, that 6" felt like a lot more. Just the way I like it.

The OG 191 BGs came out to play for the first time in a couple years. They mash one chopped pow... Really made lower upper I a lot of fun.

Edelweiss Chair and beyond... Alpental , The valley and the rest of snocrummy

Nice low key CC vibe today. Late 10 am arrival but somehow managed to get to lot 4 sans ski pants for my youngest.

SirVic went full knighthood and hooked up a spare pair of size 5 pink pants! Owe you bro

Only able to sneak away from lapping StB once but SVS kept it memorable
