    budget?

cl, pb, and fb "dirt jumper classified" group will have the most active listings for sale i know of

as far as sizing, im your same height and imo when talking dj bikes reach has less impact on "fit" and more on "feel", while long might feel more natural a short/reg/med frame can still fit just fine and might be a better tool for the application, it all depends...

for reference my dj bikes have 405 and 420 reach, and with 87mm riser bars they fit fantastic while feeling quite different

that said i would like to try the new xl pbj with 465 reach and see how that feels, although not convinced it would be what i want it might be just right for others

Good info! Budget: cheaper the better. Under 1G.

I didnít ask what size was the one I took for some laps, but was a specialized P. the guy was much shorter than me, for what itís worth, not helpful I know.

spec p3 only comes in one size, 420ish reach and i think 15ish bb drop, they used to be considered on the large side but would be pretty middle of the road now
my 6'4'' friend has a 2019 with 80mm rise deitys and loves how it fits, another 5'something friend has same frame with lower bars and likes it but also rides his bmx frequently

sidenote: if the guys bike you rode has a circus comp/sport fork (what comes stock) on it tell him to get the damper from the expert model for ~$20 and throw it in, it will be best cheap upgrade ever done i guarantee

a grand can get you a great bike assuming the covid market has settled back down now that weather turns to shit
i would prioritize a good air fork and thru axle wheels, and im partial to steel frames but thats purely personal preference, the rest can be easily swapped out as desired

for reference i picked up the 2013 majesty dirt with circus expert and halo sos wheels for under 500 last year off local fb marketplace, which is a killer deal, so if you keep your eyes open and know what you are looking for you can find something rad

i can geek out on dj stuff all day, so any q's ask away, but i wont fill your head with crap that will just confuse if no interest
