Basically, right now, the CDC and basically the entire internet is telling people to just sit at home and wait it out, and not worry about seeking medical care unless they can't breathe. This doc is saying that outpatient care should start at home, well before people get so bad that they have to go to the hospital. A lot of information is now showing that if you get bad enough to require hospitalization, you chance of death is very high.

This was sent to my family by a well regarded autoimmune specialist.

    Some basics just to start:
Start taking large amounts of Zinc and Vitamin D right away (it mentions ). I've been taking these for months but realized today it was only a fraction of what is recommended.
Sitting in your house during quarantine? Open windows and run fans. Wash hands often. Prevents reinfection. This was news to me.
Contact your doc and let them know that you are positive
There is a long list of meds that they are suggesting. Including anti-virals, antibiotics, and steroids. He's suggesting that these start well before patients are admitted to the hospital.

Now will many of you get through this thing and not do any of this shit and go on with your lives like it never happened? Probably. But for some people this could be really good info. I hope it helps someone.
^^ these people are quacks and I would refuse to see any doctor who belongs to this group.

See the link on your page to their legal fund that is raising money for the lawsuit against Obamacare, it talks about how Obamacare is a product of “liberal law schools”. I would not seek medical care from any of these idiots.

Yeah, ok holy shit. I take back that post. Looked into AAPS and fully retract my statement, that was posted in my early morning pre-coffee haze. Thought I was being helpful to Covid sufferers.
That was sent to us by a doc that we've been seeing for years and have trusted on some pretty crucial health things.

Man, you gotta fact check everything these days. God damn. I was just looking for some hope this morning as I woke up and couldn't smell shit.

Now we gotta find a new Rheumatologist!

Well, it sure seems likely that I will be joining the club. The wife had exposure with a patient who several hours later started showing symptoms, last Tuesday. Wife was masked, patient not. Wife started getting sick Friday w/ no fever, negative rapid test. Symptoms worsened and she got swabbed for a PCR test yesterday and we are in quarantine.

She is feeling pretty rough with mild fever today. No symptoms for me yet, but pretty sure I won't be skiing this week unless we get a thanksgiving miracle. I just hope we both have mild cases at worse.

At least we both get COVID pay and I can work from home.

If you can quarantine apart, you should until you get sick for sure. My wife was around me for a few days before I knew I had it and somehow she never got it. She quarantined at our 2nd home and somehow avoided catching it, which is good because she is high risk.

Seriously, you don't want this shit. It'd be nice to make it to the vaccine finish line without catching it.

Unfortunately I was around her all day Sunday thinking she just had a cold based on no fever and negative result. We've been limiting our time together pretty well now and sleeping in separate beds, but its a PITA with the dogs, which will probably ultimately be the vector. I was in Utah for work last week and wanted to stay, but she wasn't in to that.

    Abso-fucking-lutely THIS

If you get it between now and this Spring (assumed serious vaccine roll-out), you're either front-line and taking one for the team, or ..... (somethingsomething VERY insulting).

I suppose you could have also been stealth breathed on by a hater.

I'm telling ya, there's a chance. We were all over each other for days. Even drove to get tested together in the same car, no masks. Somehow she didn't get it.

This is my re-occurring nightmare: being retired, I do all the errands including grocery shopping, and my still-working wife, while working mostly from home, has to periodically visit i.e. bitch slap various bio-tech sub-contractors/labs that are astonishingly clueless about covid bio-security. One of us brings it home and our delicately balanced world falls apart. Best of luck.

Mother in law just got released after 9 days in hospital and the father in law is in ICU on day 12. He's being transferred to on LTAC (long term acute care hospital) on Friday which is good-ish news. He still is requiring shit tons of oxygen but was never intubated which was great. He is on slightly less today than Friday but it's a slow process. Both are exhausted thinking about doing anything and are in for a long haul recovery.

Pretty much done with this. Last lingering things are just some mild fatigue, and still about a 30% reduction in taste, and no sense of smell.
At one point I lost 7 pounds in four or five days.

The worst part for me was the brain-fog.
It was like being unpleasantly high for a week.
And probably contributed to my annoyance by RJ/etc.
    Sorry, guys!

    Last day of quarantine here.

Sitting at home alone during this whole thing has been a complete mind fuck.

I think that I read the entire internet. Wish I could say that I did something productive but I guess fighting a virus is productive.

I did sell a car, from a distance, in my driveway. So I guess I actually made money while in quarantine.

That's legit. I am set up to work from home so I am working more than I normally would, but that will probably change if I become symptomatic. My boss probably loves it lol.

Well, my wife's test was negative, so she probably just has some other nasty virus. I'm still asymptomatic and happy to hopefully be skiing Sunday!

Good to hear you’re on the mend! Hope R and B are too!

No covid for us yet but my older kid has been tested about 8x. Seems like her friends and/or families all have the shit! I am very surprised when more than a few days go by without a heads up from someone that they have it or hearing another kid she’s been around has it. Been tested myself too. Time to button up for the season.

Thanks man, yes they are local. Unfortunately my FIL is being sent back to the hospital, unable to maintain saturation at a safe level for their facility. Fingers crossed this doesn't turn sour.
