I never skied any Hood resorts other than Meadows but I’m hoping for a more chill, family vibe than weekends at Meadows. I am tempted to let tomorrow’s deadline pass by and try something different next season.
Anyone know when the Fusion passes go on sale?
Also, have I been sorely misinformed that the weekend race for parking and vibe truly are still different between resorts?

Last year, because of the pandemic, I've never seen the TLine access road backed up to Hwy26 that bad.
With limits on tix sales, every ski area, and snow parks, had a Chinese Downhill vibe for parking spots

Fuckin eh, $679 for an adult pass? This is Meadows we're paying for? WTF

Way to get after it T and Abraham! Must have got up there just after the few inches of new that we got? Looks super smooth!

As compared to other all access season passes out there, it really doesn't seem too out of line to me. Day tix are like $110? Bachelor is $1k. Skiing is way too expensive these days, but that could be its own thread...

After spending this last season with a Fusion Pass. I didn't even blink when I bought my Meadows pass.

Good point, as well as others up thread. People's experience with the fusion last season sounded suboptimal.

The New and improved Oregon 2020/2021 Ski Season Thread

I, for one, find the Fusion Pass to be an amazing product and great value! It’s the secret hiding in front of everyone’s noses! No one wants to wake up the kids at 5.30a and then race to a parking lot and sit with them until the lodge opens up because you’re there too early. Meadows is overrated and Timbeline/Ski Bowl more than makes up for the value of a similarly priced pass. AND, it is sooo much closer to Portland! The history of Timberline Lodge, the best hot chocolates on Hood & a mid mountain beer at Ski Bowl CAN’T BE BEAT! Meadows is filled with self-important assholes. No one wants to stand in line all day with them either! Some say that the weather is better on the south side more often too!

Timberflats leaves something to be desired on terrain...the Bowl makes up for it, but the snow is suspect. Drive time to Ski Bowl is great...to Timberline it's maybe 10 minutes shorter for me door to door. The crowd at meadows does suck.

Looks like fun is still being had. Anybody care to comment on the prospects for coverage and conditions in the next week or so? Thinking of traveling from CO. Have my eye on Adams, and... what is recommended?

Very warm this week with FL at 15k. GFS says FL never getting above ~9k next week, so it’ll likely be firm out there

Major weather pattern change. Look at the forecast before you head out here if your goal is the high summits. Maybe high pressure returns by next Thursday (6/10)

Stay safe this weekend everyone!!! Be mindful of fast moving water and long narrow roads among dry brush with no escape! Time to see if we have an electrical grid peak demand problem in this state …

116 high predicted for PDX Mon — I have no idea what that feels like…that is a new number for me
And I’m going to hide inside & hope PDX doesn’t brown out
(Currently in WW and the high is a more manageable 104 today)

    D’oh - I meant 90 mm

The does here have been known to stomp down Rottweilers and coyotes.

When I lived in Humboldt county a buck t-boned a girlfriends 240z and got its horns somehow stuck in the front fender well. Flopped over about three times then dragged 20yards before she got the car stopped. Buck is flopping around with its head stuck and GF is screaming for me to do something.
Yea, and what is it I should do? Don’t have gun with me…
That wasn’t a good answer for some reason
