^^^I’m guessing that guy met a woman
Who kissed him softly and said, “take THIS pill with me”

Anyway, Eceti Ranch would be a fun side trip. From there we could go over to Cougar, where many Bigfoot sightings have occurred and then up to Yelm where we can visit Ramtha

^^^This. I hope he felt better after typing that up, because that’s likely the sum total value of his petition

According to the founder of eceti, "the base under Mt. Adams is used by a consortium of benevolent ETs. The ones he's been in touch with come from the Pleiades. Others come from Andromeda, Orion, Sirius, and Arcturus. The more malevolent ETs (like the "grays" and "reptoids") use a porthole near Mt. Hood."

It sounds like Hood could use a visit from the mags for a good ole fashioned reptoid ass kicking.

That article kinda makes it sound like a good time, especially if one of the cool kids brings some mind expanding chemicals.

LMFAO. I needed that this morning. Hey, but I hear that Red Chair is going to run 7 days a week now to take some relief off of Pine Marten, so at least we got that going for us.

No more parks roping off way too much terrain. No more zip line towers in the middle of great ski runs. Fix outback. Replace Red so Pine breakdowns don't strangle the entire area. Hands off summer climbing and skiing. That would be a good start.

Hey, it (usually) spins when Pine Marten is nuked with wind. I've had some excellent storm-skiing days in the trees off Red while the rest of mountain is shut down.

Perhaps. But a user on public (FS) land, saying that to the senior senator from Oregon - well, that probably doesn't come off too well. (Guarantee they'll need something from Wyden sometime in the future. I'm sure that's what they'd love to say, but we'll see, eh?)

I would be shocked if the senator's letter, or the Bend local's petition will do a thing. This will likely be a revenue boost, and will also not be a major factor in increased lines for the plebs. (Based on what others are saying from experiences where this was already implemented...) Perhaps I'm sadistic, old, no longer a local, or all of the above, but it's kind of funny seeing all the comments outside of this thread about the sky falling. It certainly was not fabulous messaging from the perspective of the pass holders, but they don't care. They will be back to buy again next year.

Futile as it might be to speak out about corporate greed, it does behoove people to continue doing so. It makes the slope less slippery. Sometimes it even affects change.

    "inequitable access?"

Wouldn't that also mean that inbounds hiking for $0 needs to be on the agenda? Why do they care about the extra $50 now when they didn't care about the first $100+ ?

What, they going to station someone at the bottom of Red Chair and collect a toll to climb the Cinder Cone, or up to Pine Martin Lodge? Some patroller going to check my Cinder Cone hiking pass when I get to the top?

My guess is that POWDR took it in the balls, the chest and head for lost revenue on concessions and lessons. They did a brainstorm session and came up with the brilliant idea to charge for the paid line cutting gravy train.

I mean where else are Bend locals going to go ski that as easy and convenient as MtB? POWDR knows they have a captive customer base. Now they want to see how much they can milk their customers. Plenty of new residents dropping 7 figure sums to buy into the dream this past year. POWDR has all the data and they figure they can squeeze some more cash out of some wealthy tourons and locals.
