Welp, my first MtB weekend day this season officially sucked. Between the freezing fog, the crusty snow and the lines, units of Fun= 0. Two laps and out. Oh well

Well, it WAS more crowded due to Flood being down, BUT the snow was amazing... Got early tracks on Molly’s proper, first tracks in the ridge between Molly/Pucci, 3rds on Cut Off. Spraypaint/Paintbrush off Norman’s was also good but visibility was tough due to fog, snow and flat light. Closed the day off w/ 1st tracks on a small line off Molly’s chair and some more lines through the trees on the ridge above Pucci. Waiting in the lift lines sucked, there was a lot of non-compliance w/ masks, which was driving the staff nuts (me too).

A morning of moderate winds, poor viz, but nice soft chop and wind drifted snow at the Doo turned into a day of you-better-have-Goretex-and-a-goggle-squeegee.
Oh well, it was a damn nice cycle while it lasted. At least the drive home will be cake ..._______________________________________________

Damn! Happy you aren’t at the hospital. Heal up quick
With a plate and four screws holding c6 & C7 vertebrae together due to many episodes of rapid deceleration, I definitely understand the snap, crackle and pop part.
Nice pics fortrees. How’s your wife doing after the knee surgery?

TBS - She’s doing well, thanks for asking. Laying on the couch all day for now and lots of icing. PT starts this week!

Just sore and stiff. Mostly the lower back which got torqued hard when my left ski tip dove under. Thank god for correct binding release settings! Otherwise I would probably be complaining about a torn knee ligament.
Rode the lift yesterday with a Seattle resident who asked if Summit lift every ran. I told him it's just there so that Bachelor can claim more skiable acres."We don't beat the reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living well and living fully." - Randy Pausch

Glad you are OK
I swear by this stuff, in conjunction with Magic Number CBD tonics, for the aftermath of crashes

Asian martial artists use it. It was also standard issue in the personal med kits of the Viet Cong and NVA.
Did your chairmate buy your reasoning?
