I understand. But, I am not gonna let them ruin my morning. (I just want to go from 9-12) It's gonna be crowded everywhere tomorrow.

No shit. You must have been just ahead of the stuck semi. That was a fun jaunt over the pass and down the access road. Cornices on west side of road are halfway over the inbound lane. Wonder if they are dense enough to can-opener a Sprinter...

    Well put
That was a fun AM. Nano summit with Schralph, Teh Poacher, and jonesy today. Ed’s was fun till shut down, then only Manzi.
    Good News
    - as an honorary Ski Devil I get to take ski school line
    - the Devils can ski anything open today

    OTOH
    - I got called out again by Little Mr “Did you used to be good?”this time questioning whether my hand position was correct.
    - Somebody forgot that “TBS don’t huck” esp 8’ to flat.

It was cool however to see the She Devil launch the rock then throw two nice slash turns to the cheers of the chairlift

Today goes down in the “top 5” all time category at mhm, but I say that anytime the fair weather skiers stay home, it’s deep, and you’re outrunning slough in steep terrain. Empty lot at 745 when I pulled up... 3rd row in hrm. Only mhx and hrm were running - wind was insane up top - and they were running on diesel. Got on the proper rotation to get into PR right as they dropped the rope. More laps than I can count through there today and low pressure - easy to find top to bottom untracked all day. Time for a beer

Crippled but free, I was blind all the time, I was learning to 'ski'.

What a day! Glad I stuck around for the star rope drop @2ish. Debated on ski selection this morning and am so glad I threw the powderboards in the car. First day on them. What an experience. February just keeps delivering.

Damn, I was hoping star would open but I had to get out of there and I missed it. It was a killer day nonetheless.

Given how good it was at 0915 I'm thinking it's pretty nice now

Mt. A was looking bleak this morning after a short warming spell and a freezing night. But around 1100 the snow started showing up on the cam. Up the hill we go. Probably only got 4 inches but it was cold and the skiing was good with few folks to share it with. More snow please.

    Live beta.

Mhm 640am was almost 4th row.

Power must be back on (according to cell reception).

Snow is much lighter than last weekend. Crowds will be crowds with vista and cascade closed.

Got up here early enough. Timberline road is forked up. Basically plows have had one pass. Sides are deep and drifted. So it's single lane. Plows waiting for people to dig out. Bout a half dozen cars, at least, stuck on both sides of the road in various states of Jerryhood. Made it and know what I have to do.

That Meadows traffic was crawling at 6:45. It was bright red brake lights like a snake from
    tflat road down to 35.

In our little patch of Paradise
    - Batchy will be running SRX and Rainbow at the bell while they try to recover from yesterday. Shitshow!!!
    - 24f, snowing lightly, sun trying to break through, 20mph winds at The Doo. @0730 I was the 10th patron in the lot. Will be lots of leftovers with chair closures yesterday. Gonna be crowded but most of these folks will take an hour or more to get their rental gear

Such good. Much blower early. With hrm closed at first, no one was there. Decided to scope that out while most chose to wait for ssx to open. Was so good had to take another lap, but it got busy quick. Willow before and after.

Today was surreal, magical and epic. Was one of maybe fifty cars that made it to the lot before the road shut down. Skied from 8:50-noon. Not a lift line to speak of. Got 17 runs in. All ... powder objectives... were untracked and blower. For two plus hours the only tracks were mine. It was incredible. My stashes are holding up well.

I could have been there with you but did the ski bowl thing instead. Upper and outback were all time. So was the crowd. Never seen lines like that at Ski Bowl. Good conditions for potentially one of my last times on this set of BG's.

Crazy day at tflat. Honestly probably best one I've had. Light pow, fresh tracks, never waited in a lift line for longer than a minute or two. Skied 9-2 and never ran out of fresh lines. Finished the day off by skiing down to govy which was pow all the way down and lot of freshies to be had. Oh and did I mention it was a bluebird?

Glad you got after it! Decided last minute NOT to deal w/ the Traffic. Glad we stayed home, tho I had some FOMO all day... Resolved that w/ some retail therapy down in town.

I bet Outback was awesome today... Wish I could have gotten there w/ my C&D’s or Caylors. Another time...

LULZ. Drove by Gov't Camp about 1pm ish. Looked at Tline road and it was a cluster fuck of vehicles in both directions. Tough to make out what was actually going on. Some dudes were trying to push a Nissan Frontier out of the exit to Skibowl with little success. Got to love cheap ass Oregonians who won't plunck down a few dollars for chains. Did see someone putting on some auto socks, so at least they weren't completely screwed.

Anyhooz, back in Oregon and looking forward to Mt Bachelor chair lift bingo.
