The projected weather switch coincides perfectly with my frontside'ish/groomer'ish ski purchase. You are welcome.

Since no one seems stoked on much. T-line was super fun combo of sugar and corn today.

^^^Yes it was. Kinda warm creamed corn with the occasional scraped over patch to keep you light on your feet. Ahh Juneuary
Pic from the top with non-mag buddy Ben, whom many of you have met. Damn we look good!
The Deviation guys were demoing skis and boards. Ben tried out The Matrix (left- 135/87/122) while I tried the Mode 102 (135-102-122).
Both were damp and did a great job of cutting the schmoo while being easy to put on edge. The Mode was surprisingly easy to go edge-edge, and held it even when slope was scraped clean. Need to try in six inches of west-side crud.
And in the "Only at Hoodoo" department, there was a guy skiing in a ghillie suit...

Maybe he was hoping to catch a ptarmigan dinner?
Sadly, with the 12” of coverage lost to the rain at the beginning of the week, that guy probably blended in really well with the manzanita fields between Face and Crater (also known as a place where the adventurous can find combat skiing) ..._______________________________________________
"Strapping myself to a sitski built with 30lb of metal and fibreglass then trying to water ski in it sounds like a stupid idea to me.
I'll be there." ... Andy Campbell

Some called today's snow "firm and fast" some called it "bulletproof".
I call it perfect for 178cm, 65mm waist, 14.5m radius, catholic-priest-at boy's-choir-practice stiff Head TT80s. Drive that shovel and they love you long time.
They definitely performed better than the tourons I saw riding on DPS with Dynafiddles and avy packs.
The Johnson family from SLC was there

Start your snow dances, because we need to put this juneuary behind us. My SuperBros have seen entirely too much time on snow this month and I've got a pair of Powderboards that I am dying to get on.

Well, today was the day for skinny skis fo sho. I took out Fischer GS for the first time in about 5 years… no more than a couple minutes wait in line so what the heck, I wanted to see how much vertical I can get - ended up getting 56,000 vertical feet for the day. Hope I made Jonsey proud!
