i watched my ex drink herself to death in 2009 and held her as she died. She quit cold turkey and had a brain aneurism. That shit happens.

Swing and a miss.
Oh, and water to clear the runway for me. Crank was more my speed. Nyuk nyuk
Well, it is normal if you are taking things into consideration beforehand. We all have different normals, no? Now one could argue if it was a sustainable plan.

I have some nervous energy and angst due to two job interviews tomorrow.
I am so weak. Went up to the store and bought 3 snickers bar's.
I just finished the last one.
Before bed blood sugar will be interesting.Own your fail. ~Jer~

Good luck MTT.
I have channeled most of my addictive energy into healthy stuff. Bikes, bike racing, training, etc. I'm also on day 320something in a row of seated meditation. It works even when it feels like it's not working at all.

Mixed bag on the job hunt. To much typing to detail but here is a good one. Asked to attend meeting. I ask where? Bridge Link? I get email sorry will send details in the morning. Nothing comes. Meeting time comes and goes. I call him. RNA on his extension. Send more emails. End of day call again. I get reorder on his extension. - number is gone.
I think my HR dude went out the door the day of my interview?
Anyways that was one of two.
I had another today.Own your fail. ~Jer~

Late to this as usual, but I’ve got about 3.5 years myself. Best decision I ever made. I don’t ever think about it anymore. It’s just a baseline, like breathing or eating. I was sober for about 2 years before, I always had a nagging that it was temporary. I don’t anymore. I’m just glad. Definitely redirected the focus I used to aim at drinking and work into biking and skiing and travel and offroading. It’s a good trade. Got nothing but empathy and respect for anyone else trying to quit. I personally don’t love AA, but it helps sometimes and it really helps some people. There’s alternatives like Recovery Dharma, Addict II Athlete, etc. Zen meditation and being in the mountains helps me. So does volunteering. I’m kind of a loner and don’t know many folks here, but if anyone trying to quit needs someone to chat with, feel free to PM.
