Things were all good this morning. The new roof with insulation is done and we're dry as a bone and warm. Saw the optometrist and the eyes are the same after nearly two years, so that's a win. Picked up some new frames for those times when I do wear glasses. Stoked.

Good to see you calmed down a bit from yesterday. That's a nice picture.

'Morning everyone. Stellar version of that song, SFB, I hadn't heard that before, but as a Springsteen fan from birth, it was a treat.

I'm almost 32 years old, but when the weather forecast is for snow overnight, I still wake up at 4:30 in the morning to turn on the outside lights and press my face against the window like a little kid to watch it snow. Falling snow still brings me joy that nothing else compares to.

Ok, so kiddo had a great pun tonight.
we were eating dinner, and he said “not really a fan of this rice”.
I said “that might be because it is Orzo”
without missing a beat, he said
    ”So, it’s an impasta!”

    much guffawing and groaning ensued.

Because a crew is showing up at 9:30 to template the counters. Whole household needs to be done with the kitchen so I can disconnect the sink and yank the dishwasher. When they are gone I need to replace the bottom of the cabinet under the sink and build a new cabinet end for the dishwasher before I put back the dishwasher and sink counter. And reconnect the plumbing.

Billy "Fucking" Idol. That dude has not aged--not sure how he's managed that over the years. Perhaps drugs aren't that bad for you.

    TGR GMT Thread

I fucking hate WFH. Goddamn. When this all started I had a few things I was gonna focus on to “improve” myself and make good use of the extra time I had. Shockingly, I actually did that stuff. Made no fucking difference. You still wake up each day to a one story commute. Mornings suck when you wake and realize today is the same as yesterday.

Thank god I got a couple days on snow last week. Today is not one of those days.

Sometimes I wish I drank coffee.
