I've been lucky enough to ski a lot of places, even though much of that was in the 90s on old school gear.

Never ski'd in Europe or Japan, those would be top of the list. Iceland too!
    Closer to home:
    Taos
    Silverton
    Telluride
    Aspen
    Crested Butte
    Steamboat

    Banff/Lake Louise
    Castle Mtn
    Kicking Horse
    Panorama
    Fernie
    Apex

The were has become less important that the how and why as the years tick by. I love a powder turn as much if not more that the next guy but I'm kinda done seeking it out at all costs. Give me some smiling friends and a good fall line and I'm happy. It seems like a much more achievable goal. That said, mountain travel by skis is just about the best. So my list would be.

Somewhere deep and stable that I've never heard of...that is probably up some logging road it BC.

Anywhere and everywhere in the Alps with giant terrain....Queyras and Zone du Vendal are at the top of the list.

    Have only been to:
    Bridger(home for 20yrs)
    Big sky
    Teton pass(MT and WY)
    Red lodge
    Targhee
    Jackson(thanks Djongo!)
    Alpine Meadows
    Big Mtn
    Red Mtn
    Whitewater
    Whistler
    Lost trail
    Disco
    Midwest molehills
    Copper
    Steamboat
    Prob some I'm forgetting

While I would love to hit euro land and more of Canada there are still so many places close to home to ski. Obviously heli skiing is high on the list if I had money to burn.

    Sitzmark
    Bluewood
    Anthony Lakes
    Soldier Mt
    Pomerelle
    Warner Canyon
    Pebble Creek
    Etc...

I want to ski interesting little hills with no crowds and cool locals. I can’t stand the powder frenzy and mountain bro scene.

I've skied a number of those areas on your list; Soldier, Pomerelle, Pebble and a number of other tiny/small areas in Idaho, shooting for the Idaho Ski Area Association. You are onto something, for sure. Going to those areas is a blast! Small town ski hills are at the root of skiing and as the ISAA tagline states, they represent the Soul of Skiing. They're fun, very welcoming, many run by volunteers. Pomerelle gets lots of snow and is largely untracked in the trees for days. Granted, they don't have the great terrain that many areas have (although Pebble, if you hike for it, has some fun stuff) but they're not tracked out and the people are great.

Here's some video we shot at Pomerelle a few years ago. Kind of shows what's there.

The best place I ever went to was the one with fresh snow.

I used to ski Pomerelle early every year to warm up the legs due to mellow terrain and early snow. I skied with a guy once that lived off the backside somewhere and had something like a 2,000' powder run all to himself down to his house at the end of the day. Pebble backside is great and front too when they have enough snow.

This would be the year for at least the us part because travels gonna be limited out of the country. I’ll give you a warning well in advance if it seems feasible. Would love to try to keep up again for a few days.

    Silver->Turner->Montana Snow Bowl->Lost Trail->Discovery Basin->Maverick Mountain is a great route.
After we got sick of the big resorts, we did variants of this itinerary for a couple of years.

    Hmm. Good question.
One or two places in the piemont which I didn't get to see last time.

France south of LA grave and the French main alpine ridge is also bit of Terra incognita for me. And I know that there are some interesting spots.

Oberwallis has one or two spots that should be worth exploring with the right conditions (which basically never happen because it's do dry there).

One touring farmers lift here in northern Switz which has potential, but hasn't had decent snow for years.

And a decent pillow cat skiinglodge in BC which is not too dentisty. (no clue which and no idea whether I would really spend all that money).

Going back to : AK, but not the Heli ops. Too much of a gamble for all that money. So Valdez in an RV and touring set up. (and this time with a sled.)

In conclusion: man... I've been places. (south America doesn't really tickle me to go... I go surfing in the summer...)
