Kinda weird hardly recognizing anyone at Music on Main last night. A good time was still had.
This from the Knotty is a real bummer:Last night the music was great, but for our live music community it was a real low. People sneaking in and being rude to Scott, my wife and I at the door has to stop. Some people tried over and over again to come in without paying and even tried knocking over the worker at the back door. I won’t tolerate this.
Pink Garter, The Moose, The VC, the Pub etc are all gone the way of the Four Seasons crowd. We are the last ones standing for late night live music in either valley.
We do it for fun. I love to see everyone getting down and enjoying themselves and the bands enjoy the people who come.
This morning I woke up and thought “should we just cancel the rest of the summer bands” It was that bad.
Please be part of the solution by being patient, shaming those who have snuck in and helping us to have a positive time.

Yet they either don’t fund employee housing or don’t support it at the government level...

The Teton community Lost a great guy today.
Rip Nick.
Owner of Creekside. I’d guess many of you know him even if not friends. Been around these parts for quite a while. Incredible person with an awesome family.
Go support his wife and boys when the shop reopens if you can.
There are articles in the NandG, Buckrail etc.. just beyond my ability to post them.

This is a big hit to Jackson. Nick was hard worker, ran a great business, stellar family man. I ate there more than anywhere in town. Way too fucking young.

Police investigating creekside death

Police are investigating the death of a well-known Jackson man found behind his business Monday morning.
Nick Bochicchio, owner of Creekside Market and Deli, was 42.
Police said someone who works in the building discovered him lying near Flat Creek around 6:30 a.m.
The person walked into work and said “there appears to be a man sleeping by the creek,” Jackson Police Lt. Russ Ruschill said.
His death is still pending investigation, Teton County Coroner Brent Blue said, but is not being considered suspicious.
Because the area around the deli is highly trafficked, police used emergency vehicles to screen the scene “to keep people away and have less trauma,” Ruschill said.
Bochicchio moved here in junior high and took a job as a line cook at Snake River Brewing shortly after graduation, according to a “Chef Notes” profile published in 2016 in the News&Guide. By age 22 he was the chef. In 2006 he bought the deli, then called Park Place, and renamed it Creekside.
This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

Damn, that's a hard hit to the sternum, takes the wind right out of a fella.
He ran his business admirably and successfully. Hope he went out easy.
RIP Nick...

Lots of random news about the village...
The amount of available slots for mt. guide tours just doubled into the sidecountry, approved by the FS. Most of the guides are friends/acquaintances.
But they've hired a ton more lately and it's a lot of hand holding going on out there.
In the past it was all respeks for those guys and gals.
Their gonna start getting dumped on, albeit not really their fault, for hauling clowns with dough into the SC/BC.
It's a way to scrape a few more bux outta the joint before Jay cashes out on it.
Kemmerer's have either consciously given up on maintaining the quality of the experience or they have no clue what's happening. That whole family seems to have kinda checked out on the Wyoming family theme. They're from Joisey.
Metropolitan Wilson
The consruction zone above the Cody lot. They flattened the last big swath of Aspens at the base of the village. It'll be a hotel I'm betting.
The boxes have been dropped and the bollard repairs are underway.
How long until the big flip? Only Vail and Alterra are gonna be the bidders.
