    It's 38 at my house now, that snow is gonna move today. Be careful out there.

    Superior for the win.
    Wyoming can be such a trippy place to drive through, see some amazing things. Eighteen wheelers trying to stay upright is serious sketchballz.
    You nailed the snow too.

    SAILCAT, MY MAN! - How are you my friend? Been a little while, hope all is well in the valley.

    Holy cow does that hat say a lot. In 1982 they were calling it a 'Pin Binding' competition, not the Tele 8's. Suhweet!!!

    lindenle - My brother, I cannot wait to see you and turn 'em up. Very few people put a smile on my face as consistently as you. Nary a bad day skiing with you.
    We'll remember Stephen as frequently as possible. Soon now.

    10 days until the village cranks it up.

    Working on Teton lift now...

    ed: I asked my friend to send me his account of that race, hopefully he'll spin us the story...

A couple of years ago as we were coming out of the Expert Chutes we were talking about the DH chute and he told me about one of the European racers that missed the entrance and got some major air. Pretty gnarly crash, but I think he said the guy walked away.

    This could be some epic footy ;-) fingers crossed! cool to now have two references to that event from people who actually raced it with reckless abandon!

    I went again today, and hit the leftovers from last night’s 6 inch snow, which was coming in very wet at about 11 pm yesterday.

    The snow was set up pretty firm by noon (I hung out with an old friend last night), but still found great turns off the West side of Glory. Scooted out at the Wydot snow study plot.

    Snow was pinwheeling during my run and I actually saw a moose at about 8,000’ traversing Glory!

    Couldn’t find any folks to ski with, so tried to play it safe-ish. Snow is definitely moving up high.

    Been seeing a lot of tracks appearing on the mountain each morning the last few days. JHMR sent an email today...

    Dear Partner,
    As a reminder, as part of JHMR’s special use permit with Bridger Teton National Forest when the ski area is closed for public operation, access is prohibited due to hazard and safety considerations, including all uphill traffic, skiing and snowboarding. Many workers and machines are on the mountain at this time, preparing for the Thanksgiving Day opening.

    Crackin' Up... nsfw...

    Top to bottom tram laps in boottop pow banging em out to this. Goood livin' right there.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Consider:
    In the big winter of 96-97, niney-sick ninety heaven, we were freaking out on todays date.
    We had only recorded 47" in Rendezvous bowl and in 3 days the temperature in town rose to 57 degrees.
    81" by the end of November. It was looking better.
    A week later we were up to 136" in the bowl on opening day, the 7th. It snowed all but a day or three; I lived in the Aspens then.
    On New Years day, we had gotten 306". 225" in December.
    I skied a lot of those days. I was 31 and cutting my teeth with some big rollers then. 204? volkl snow rangers DD and trenching moran face cuz turning made you stop. You could point expert chutes, no shit. Wiggling and hooting down the Cirque with my friends .
    Would enjoy some of that this year.
    My last season in Jackson, rocking the Fischer RC4s 205s. I remember doing 5 tram laps opening day, best season of my life.
    Nice vid!
    Next time you see Max tell him I'd be willing to ski with him.
    Give him a few pointers.
    That left pinkie gets pretty far back, and other major technique problems.
    Which Snow Rangers were these? The black w/pink & yellow ones or the "newer" blue & yellow ones? Rangers were my first "big" ski and they were such a revelation (even though they were only 80-ish in the waist?)...
    200 was the biggest snowranger I could find. I beat the shit out of 3 pairs of those and then scored another pair NIP black with pink and yellow slashes from someone here which I still have mounted and ready.
    It has been rumored that 190 was the biggest those pink & yellow ones came in. That's the size I had. They are mounted in my garage now with gear hooks for storing crap.
    Nope 200 cm. I had blue/yellow ones, black with pink/yellow flashes and another color combo I'm spacing.
