    WOW! a Shera re-appearance!
    It feels surreal, yet cozy. Seems like this is still the best community for skiers.

    Awww jeez where have I been? Skip a day on this thread and all of a sudden I am Tom Bombadil! Would prefer Cy's cartoon about the old school skier quoting gloom and doom about early season snow. Or this one below.
    By the way. BabyBear, I'm one of the instructors on Skijunky's upcoming Pro 1. Hope he's making his way through the videos, haha.

    And today's snow surface is going to cause headaches for weeks once we get a slab on top of it, in case anyone was wondering.

    That's a helluva cool bit of ink.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Skiing was top notch today. Not too busy, cold and no glare ice.
    I think they had a coupla guns going a little too juicy but they got it dialed and now the gunpowder is absolutely supah!
    Upper mtn. opens tomorrow. Should be fun.
    HMS that tattoo is dope. I like all the details of the ski tracks and dog within the blk crow etc. looks like lots of good symbolism
    ya skijunky is excited for that class. Wondering if it will be impacted by the new health recommendation for gatherings only within household members? I guess we shall see
    But he was psyched to see you as the instructor too.
    See you all out there tmrw! I’m so excited to ski upper mountain tomorrow, I hope I can sleep
    Not sure if I was clear, raven art was initially done by @cydwhit , then adapted for ink by Erin, at Black Fox Studios. Is so that I can remember 2020 as not completely a dumpster fire.
    Thanks for those pictures. For whatever reason, they really made me excited about skiing. I need a bit of that.
    I bet that snow is bomber but thin. After skiing steep pitches in bounds, I'm sure a vet rolled Pucker. A few easy sweepers getting smaller radii and thru the crux to the important turn and out.
    slow and steady does it. Pretty sure I know who that was.
    BUT, thin cover waiting to snag a sharp bit of rock and toppling is a ballsy move. Kinda doubt he hit anything. Overblow onto Pucker is rarely thin, but it slides easily.
    And I'm sure it's as steep at the rollover now as it's ever been when skiable.
    Spent the weekend poking around the backcountry checking on things. The snow pack is going to shit. Shallow and sun crusted on south facing and faceted throughout everywhere else. The next storm cycle has the potential to be an epic shit show with an unstable pack combined with powder starved skiers.
