garage machinery / workshoppery
I can't be the only one who has an interest in vintage drill presses and bandsaws and other old shit. Post your current projects and such. Flex your shop.

Oh man...I am in the planning process of building a full-on woodshop. I cannot wait to post in this thread.

We have an older family friend who is retired and built a full wood working shop in his garage. Sorry, no pictures unfortunately. I am so, so jealous.

Wow. I thought my electronics thread was dorky. Jk. I'm looking forward to seeing what people bust out. I could use a nice quality vintage drill press.

I wish I had a picture of my Grandfather's basement shop from back in the day.
He was a tool and die maker. Everything was perfectly organized. It all smelled of oil. Nothing was rusted, even in musty old CT.
He had a metal lathe that, if I had a house at the time, I would own now. He also had a 1940's or 50's era drill press, band saw, and belt sander.
There were also at least 5 different sized vises, one of them similar sized as the above pictures.
Man, I wish my dad was more into that stuff and had kept it.
