Shipping a bunch of kids skis
Gotta hook up a friends kids w a bunch of skis, about 9 pair. . Salt lake to Seattle. Ideas about the cheapest way to do this?

Look up backhaul LTL shippers. You might be close on making weight (some companies won’t ship less than 150-200 lbs), and the receiver will need to catch it on the other end (door to door costs more), but it can be pretty economical depending. If you’re flexible with when it needs to go out you can save money over FedEx for sure. LTL kinda sucks for drivers, but it’s better pay than deadheading, and there’s plenty of SEA-SLC traffic.

Check bike flights. Assuming you’d end up in the 50-100lbs and a “bike box” sized box, they’ll be the cheapest.
I just shipped my wife’s MTB for $80 through them on FedEx. FedEx quoted me $330
