Enuf to move the appointment in case it verifies. Inside 48 hours isn't guaranteed but pretty good. They have slashed the Fx the day before a storm this season but there was persistent model disagreement right up to onset.

Dooks it will reset that primo into Primo by Thursday.

I’m happy as we really want to make a ski weekend out of Memorial Day and with luck this storm will slow melt out and add a few inches to the base that is quickly disappearing. It looks like it will actually come in wet and then cool so there is a pretty good chance it will fill in the su cups.

Glad I’m biking today instead of trying to make something of the wind storm this morning.

Down here in Verdi it's a cold stiff wind with a dark grey wall coming over the mountains. It's going to snow here today. Must already be snowing at the lake?

I skied this couloir 3 times this year. First time, success.

The next two tries, bad first turn, weight way uphill and hip checked it. Not happy.

Both times the snow was very slushy, booting up penetration was boot top.

This is starting to screw me up mentally.

It's roughly 50 degrees and 4 meters wide, so nailing the first turn, is kind of mandatory.

    Following turns were ok.

    WTF?

As per the norm this year......storm downgraded to what looks to be a dust on crust event.
At least it shouldn’t make too much of a mess and should revert back to smooth corn panels sooner then later......sigh

THE OFFICIAL 20/21 TAHOE SKI & SNOWBOARD THREAD. PANDEMIC SCHMANDEMIC!

Next storm, I'm gonna see if I can stay skeptical until 12 hours before forecasted onset and still jinx it by jumping on the hype train, canceling everything, waxing with blue, and putting my snow tires back on. JFC

3.7 earthquake in the middle of the lake at 8:33AM. Felt it pretty strongly down here in Meyers.

Felt the first one but it was brief.

Might ski after 3 pm today to let that next wave accumulate.

It was a pretty good little jolt in Truckee. Epicenter just south of Dollar Point.
I ski 135 degree chutes switch to the road.

Felt it pretty good on the West Shore. I thought earthquake or a tree hit the house.

There's 3 faults actually, one from Dollar Point to Emerald Bay, one near Incline Village going south, and one running south from Crystal Bay.
