Footage from yesterday and last night posted this morning by KTVU San Francisco...

KTVU just had a live report with Kevin "Coop" Cooper from the North Upper Truckee Road area. No fire there, and very little wind at this point.

Not surprisingly the road cams between Placerville and Meyers are "unavailable" at this point, but starting with the traffic circle in Meyers at 50/89 you can at least get a glimpse of the conditions at a few intersections in the SLT area...

Holly shit. Meeks bay and Tacoma. Is a bunch of people and homes. I lived in Timber Land when I was real young. It’s not that much further. Throwing out positive vibes hoping for a miracle

THE OFFICIAL 20/21 TAHOE SKI & SNOWBOARD THREAD. PANDEMIC SCHMANDEMIC!

Makes sense to clear the bottom end of West Shore now and keep roads open for crews in case anything spots north of Fallen Leaf and makes a run later.

Same with Pioneer. Anything jumping over to east side of XMas Valley will be really threatening.

    Praying for Tahoe.

Only structure/infrastructure damage at S@T was a maintenance garage. Snow guns appear to have saved everything. Wow.

Our family place on N Upper Truckee is right in the cross hairs, extremely sad and terrifying to think of the damage that will be done if/when this monster drops past Echo Lake into the Basin and Xmas Valley

Facebook links suck. Almost all of S Lake is under the order now. My house near Carson is already spoken for by 2 families but there is plenty of space in the yard for RVs or tents if anyone is in need.Name: 20210830_104257.jpeg

Why the warning rather than mandatory in east SLT? Those folks still have a good escape route compared to the people along the west shore? They wait too long and lots of people burn to death in their cars.
Most of the people burned out of the Tahoe Basin are probably gone for good--real estate prices and construction prices will be even more expensive.

Amazing. My buddy posted a pic of what he was sure was his house in flames last night, but it was still standing without any damage this morning. Hard to believe

I checked into the S@T webcam sometime after midnight and the 1hr time lapse showed a group of about 20-30 crew members up there getting shit done. They are true badasses.

TTUSD (north shore/truckee) just postponed the start of school from tomorrow till next tuesday (at this time) .

I just looked at the caltrans cam for 50 E @ ski run, it's a parking lot.

    Vibes S lake mags.

Harrahs can do whatever the fuck it wants.

The staff and employees, the presumed residents of S Lake, will hopefully tell them to fuck right off and take carevof themselves and their families and GTFO.

Don't know if there's a plan in place to do it efficiently/safely, but opening up another eastbound lane on 50 from the Y to Kingsbury would be a very good thing right about now.

1000%! Time to go! When the winds really pick up later who knows what will happen?

25k people and only 3 roads out, red flag winds and as low as single digit humidity forecasted through Weds night, winds pointed right at town, pray tell me what exactly is the overreach?

I live right near the McKenzie River, when we had single digit humidity and big winds last year the fire ran 20 miles downriver in 12 hours.
