    Good to meet you guys.
    Dreamy tracks coming down R.
Two of our party of three stayed dry on the creek crossing. Somebody didn't get their ski far enough across...

Looks like a rescue operation more than a creek crossing

While we haven’t had many days of over the shoulder conditions this season ...... it’s been the year of the reliable pow carpet. Just about every time we only get a few inches.....tracks reset and it skis bottomless on north aspects and loaded gullies. I don’t recall a single dust on crust day this year

Strong work everyone that’s sharing in the groove ++++

Deep graupel today......cool different sliding experience.....icy ball bearings that skied like super fast cold pow

Teledad, onehotchilli, sorry to read that it was your friend that passed. Condolences.

Nice work and great pics Mokomahonah!
And the same for the trifecta by AK and Doc:
I agree Gimpy. This year Tahoe has been pretty memorable. Lots of great days (not as many as you tho )

Also really sad to hear about yet more tragedy this season.

it's also not technically the roadway, so you can legally operate a vehicle while intoxicated there. pretty certain that's what happened when 666 clipped mmm...pow!

THE OFFICIAL 20/21 TAHOE SKI & SNOWBOARD THREAD. PANDEMIC SCHMANDEMIC!

For those season pass holders, Vail reduced their prices by 20%. Their official reason is “to make it easier for everyone to enjoy the mountains”. My guess is that the pass renewal rate after this Corona Virus ski season is not that great.

    Totally agree.

I don't remember another year where small storms skied this well.

I have no words to describe how insanely good the snow was at Squaw today.
    Still waiting...

Maybe 20/21 has you appreciating what you got?

I remember saying forever ago that once we have a base, we only need 8-14" storms every 3-4 days.

Not that any of y'all care, but Tuesday at The Star was a sweet somnambulistic surprise.
Monday night/early Tues snow created a soft blanket that covered the previous days crust completely. Ankle to boot deep in spots, plenty of untouched stashes in the trees, and the wind kept filling in my tracks all day. Total refreshment.

And to Gimpy's post above, N and HE have been the solid jam aspects this season, at least at the resort...

Anyone else notice that Rose is apparently moving up its close date to April 18? I think all the other mountains seem to be closing more or less at the same as they do on normal years, but normally Rose spints lifts through at least the end of April, and usually into May. Is this a new policy, or a one-off "because of COVID" thing?

And I think all ya tahoe locals and all y’all Bay Area yokels get in my way all over the place. On the road, in the lift lines and setting traverse tracks at the bottom of my straight line.

That’s why I’m going to mammoth next week. That will teach y’all.

Anybody want a bike box. It's awesome, holds a mountain bike (at least 27.5) without breaking it down (other than pedals which usually aren't included anyway). Includes foam padding for the tender bits. $10 on the FB marketplace. TGR price - $free.95
