I could never keep the intermediate runs off roundhouse straight when they were all colors and I still have no idea what their names are.

THE OFFICIAL 20/21 TAHOE SKI & SNOWBOARD THREAD. PANDEMIC SCHMANDEMIC!

Yeah. It sucks. I can’t take a dump without planning ahead. But I always have TP handy. So there is that.

Squaw was great today. Wind sure helped. Really never got too sticky. Bummer about KT but we had a blast. Hot lapped as Iberia early then Mountain Run to meet up with my kid’s buddy. Brought them up and showed them around a bit and left them lapping Gold Coast for a bit. Shirley was in great shape, Granite decent but lines. Went back and lapped with them on GC and brought them down to Shirley once. That was about top of their game. Finished with taking them down to the base. I think they are well tired.

I was just stoked on watching my kid ski with his buddy. He did a great job of slowing down and hanging with his friend. Except for the run in later. I think he beat the rest of us by 20 minutes.

Back at it tomorrow and then thinking our Tahoe winter is done. Kind of cools to see new riders getting hooked on snow.

This is really the year to make sure you're ready. Rake your forests, put together a go bag, have a plan.

I try ski ballet often. I started several years ago when my kids were grubs and did not go very fast. I only have a few moves so far. If you see a guy on tele flailing a few ski ballet moves in tahoe (or mammoth), its probably me. It's super fun.

On the west side of Ebbetts Pass today I met 2 guys who had walked for 8.4 miles from the west side closure with their kayaks so that they could take advantage of the high melt. Lemonade. The road is clear and I suspect it will open this week.

Can confirm the snowmelt is ripping off the mountains. Also not the only thing ripping off mountains today

Just put our money down to return to the. Neck of the woods next winter. We really missed it this year.

Squaw was great yesterday. Perfect spring skiing from bell to bell. That place is still pulling in plenty of customers.

Crazy I haven't been up there yet this year. Still I have more days inbounds than probably the last 3 years combined.

Went for what was initially going to be a quick out-and-back jaunt up at 7500 around Donner Ridge today and ended up staying out for 6 hours.
We scoped a N facing aspect around 10 and it was still icy, but the NW aspects were $$$ until 2.
The brisk breeze and the early morning freeze def helped keep things good.
Hit an E facing low angle line on the way back to the truck and it was suncuppy and a tad sticky at 2:30.
Still, a sweet day in the hood was had.
For some reason my buddy who I was with, whenever we ski together we neglect to take pix...

Sometimes it is fun to just ski and not deal with setting up pics.

    Next weekend looks cool again.

Well I wouldn't doubt it, but to be fair I have been hearing that as early as April 11th from employees at both places.

This should not be a rumor at this point. Either they’re gonna be open or they won’t after this weekend. It not only influences the decisions of potential guests, like myself, but also future plans for their staff.

Hey Mr, your box is full! So here's my reply:

Aw, thanks for remembering me. It feels good to find community here again. Hope we get to make some turns!

And thanks for the hookup! -M

Of course I remember you. You were bringing the stoke when I arrived here. And a positive vibe, which I always like. And who could not like SheRa?
