Jefferey 102 size?

My son is ordering a pair of j102 and he’s torn between sizing. He’s 5’10” 185 and very athletic but likes to play all over the mountain haul azz everywhere. We go west a few times a year so he wants something for a 1 ski quiver.

Here is his rationale for each.

181- quick, fun, poppy, surfy
186- quick (enough?), longer ee so better groomers, better float(?) still not a heavy ski with new core.

any help would be appreciated. He is really struggling and kids only listen so much to dad

Another vote for the 186. Tell your kid Bandit Jr is 5’ 10” and 155 and skis 184 BG’s. Your kid had 30-lbs on mine...no brainer.

The 181 will be fine if it’s a smaller mountain.

Agree with the 186. I have the J96s in a 186 and he's got pounds on me and I've got years on him. He'll love 'em.
