LOL @ the Karens worried about everyone else. If you are so worried, why not stay home where you are safe?

This is the most retarded thing I've ever read. It has nothing to do with your own personal safety, and I shouldn't have to spell out why. If you give a shit at all about skiing, just do your fucking job to help resorts not be the centers of super spreading.

If that's actually the attitude of employees up there, you guys will be unemployed by January. Good luck!

It actually wasn’t bad at all. Got a little long before the lifts started spinning but not bad after that.

Yes, while I wouldn't say I'm confident, I feel my hope is not completely delusional.

Besides, I got a free ikon pass because this place fucking awesome and ya know what, ULLR just isn't going to play me like that.
FDA Approval expected on Dec 12/13th. Doctors and Nurses will start getting it the following week. Since these vaccines require 2 shots 4 weeks apart - 50 mill doses means only 25 million people in Dec. Then nursing homes etc. my guess is by the time average Joe gets it - it will be after April. and for us to get herd immunity - where we dont have to wear masks - we need at least 60-70% of the country vaccinated. Hope fully we get there by next ski season.

Did PC on Friday, Canyons Sat/Sun. Was pleasantly surprised at both. Lines fluctuated a bit, but not terrible, and most people I saw were masked and being responsible. Fingers crossed it lasts.

Skiing around Tahoe this weekend - will be interesting to see if the vibe is the same.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Yeah it wasn't bad at all. I got there at around 8;15, waited in the line and was probably chair 25 or something. Never waited in a line after that - sugarloaf was quick, small line when i got back to the base ann hour later.

What would an estimate of capacity be with spreading the cars out, 60%?

1350 spots give or take and about 66% of capacity is my guess between Albion and Wildcat.

I heard no less than a dozen emps asking which bar they were meeting up at after work. One was very excited about her new job at the Tram Club.

I have heard no stories about cars being stopped at the base of the canyon, or anywhere else in LCC today.

^Nope, i got up there around 810ish and there was still plenty of parking. To echo the reports above a little bit of a zoo at the start but people spread - out, once the lifts spun and felt organizational behavior was for the most part pretty good, actually reminded a few folks to put the masks up while in line and all were pretty cool about it.

I bought a couple of these buffs that worked like a charm for skiing today... https://buffusa.com/shop-buff/masks-...be-family.html

Conditions were pretty standard for early season, as a former VTer it felt like home haha.

Definitely gonna miss riding the lifts with strangers this season.

After the first chair it was a 2-3 minute wait to get back on.
The maze on Collins could be improved on but it wasn’t bad.
