Better than BH but not as good as the Wasatch, Cool vibe and fun on a powder day. The drive up the canyon can be interesting during a storm. Great backcountry.

White Pine TH just closed for S&R...vibes. hope everyone is alright

    Edit to add:

Preliminary information: Avalanche accident near Pfeifferhorn Peak. 3-4 people involved. Partial burials, potential injuries. Utah and Salt Lake County search and rescue teams are responding - as well as Lifeflight and DPS.

Passed the staging area coming down from box elder. Tons of birds out flying, lots of people on scene.

Lots of wind high - they weren't kidding when they said gusts to 50mph.

Vibes to all affected, I hope they're okay.

4 people caught and carried on the South side of Pfeif. Lots of hangfire from above so there’s not a good way in from above or below. Looks like 2 inured with lower leg injuries. Due to the wind we’re trying to get a Blackhawk going.

Damn. Wind was cranking, even at 10k. After the February event it's nice to not hear of any full burials

btw I think I was just behind you coming up superior today (I was in yellow jacket / white helmet). I was coming around the corner of LSB when you dropped. That wind was brutal.

If anyone added an Ikon to your Snowbird pass better get on using it. I hadn't used any days and called to defer it to next season. They won't let you defer an Ikon bought through Snowbird.

Did they give you some code to get it, or can you just pick it up from Solitude? I never hooked mine up.

that would be quite the racket if you could roll over your unused ikon and then just not buy a pass next year 2 for 1 stylee. not that anyone would want to ski the ikon alone obv.

Yup, that was me. I almost waited to chat with you since it looked like you were solo as well but then I figured no one wanted to hear me complain about the wind so I skied instead.

Definitely worse places to tumble off the rocks (like a dozen yards in either direction...) but still doesn't look like a fun ride.
