I think with cold temps and some snow Saturday we can expect 500 feet of fun
Sent from my iPhone using TGR ForumsI need to go to Utah.
Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

***ANTI-JINX***
Can you believe it, we may actually be able to ski a little pow in a week to 10 days.

Watch lights fade from every room...
New dawn.
New day.
Optimistic for the future in many ways tonight...Time spent skiing cannot be deducted from one's life.

^^^^ the ambience of a happy speech is complemented finely with a nice storm blowing around outside.

Hello darkness my old friend.
In restless dreams I walked alone
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
Winter is here .....
Will be in the conga line at Alta at 10 am

dense but not wet and just trying to be boot deep. if it is above 8500 ft your favorite grass patch is probably good to go.

Snowbird is already reporting snow: 16". Although criscam's kiddo is having fun, I will wait until next Mon. or Tues. Lots of sharks out there. Temps are going to stay cold. There is a wintery pattern in place until at least next Monday. Looking great for the weekend before Thankstaking.

Well, newbie, sometimes the best calls are from newbies.
The most stable snowpacks happen in years that when it starts snowing, it keeps snowing.
Even if it starts late.
Like Schindlerpiste just said, the forecast looks promising.
And that would provide great basal stability.
Fingers crossed for the long range.
Wouldn't it be great to have a stable pack 'round here with all the backcountry traffic we're bound to see?
Doesn't happen often; this would be a good year for it...Time spent skiing cannot be deducted from one's life.
