Snow in the PNW 20-21: We may have Corona but Corona doesn't have us!
That outline is accurate based on the map I was looking at of the current SUP in the FS EA of the proposed expansion. Maybe the app isn’t that accurate? It’s roughly 3.75 sections so 2400 acres seems accurate.

I’m not into PSIA dogma, but they have to demonstrate those techniques in their clinics. The NW region headquarters is in Wenatchee now and I see those dorks all the time. They’ll spend a whole day demonstrating side slipping, wedge and stem turns. It looks painfully boring.

Saturday was pretty damn good at xtal. King laps in the sun with good snow followed by a storm blowing in crazy fast.

People are either too scared or lazy to hike to the top. Instead they traverse under people skiing off the top and make sweet traverse lines to blow you up and lose 99% of their vert without making any good turns.
It’s what happens when you don’t require gear to go out of southback and people who have no business leaving a groomer go exploring since they see other people going that way.
Southback on Saturday was the biggest gong show of literally a pack of women in their 60s on rental gear asking if it would get easier if they kept going further out and people on rental skis. A 5 min section took 30+ min at one point.

the ikonic traverses of crystal mountain.
It literally takes 12 more minutes to walk to the top if you're fat and out of shape and not cut a track which looses close to 200 vertical feet across the entire avalanche basin so they can ski a different 160 vertical feet down to Elizabeth lake, which requires them to ski down to C9 instead of take the quick cut back to C6. It makes no sense.

Some people don't understand or know where they're going. Some ropes would help.

You've obviously never hiked the King while fat and out of shape. Otherwise you would know it takes an additional 18-20 minutes to hike to the top. (This doesn't include the 5-7 minutes it takes to get your skis off and figure out how to carry them on your shoulder before the hike.)
