Yeah, we get it. You're spoiled now and need a professional crew to document your skiing.

I’d post stoke from the east side but we’ve been too busy skiing pow since Wednesday. I’m only a midweek skier now and it’s like lift served backcountry currently.

I went on a pow mission to Baker yesterday and it delivered! Stayed cold enough and snowed all day - that ice crust is mostly covered and after this next dumpage it should be more so

Thanks for the beta Bronco and PlugBoots, will check those places out (I'll be there this coming weekend).

Unrelated, but I'm going to be skiing Crystal tomorrow Monday if anyone wants to link up for some turns. Have a call at 2pm so will have to stop a little early.

Crustal was… weird today. Parking lots were crazy crowded, lift lines were bonkers this morning and it was straight up raining in the village so I figured I'd get some exercise and skinned up to the top of Quicksilver. Heard some bombs go off, figured I'd go see what was up. Forest Queen line was reasonable and the Chair Six line was half of the usual weekend craziness. Hiked to the throne, then another lap to the King since Southback was open and it all skied pretty well, pockets of wind affected stiff stuff and otherwise some compacted soft stuff from the last week. Lines were non-existant by noon… 5 minute wait on Chair Six and Queen was ski-on (basically). Base was pretty empty due to the rain.

Wind was weird… there was none below 5500' and then a ton of whipping wind above that. Snowing pretty hard on and off all day but sometimes big fat flakes, sometimes wind whipped graupel. Down below Forest Queen is was snain and at the base it was straight up rain.

Crystal Villages are on the white river at 2000' and maybe 15-20 miles from the base area.

If you skinned from there to the top of QS then props.

I've always just called the base area of any resort "the village". No idea where I picked it up.

Today was the first time I can think of where Ch6 was spinning but Rex was on wind hold.

The Queen line was insane before noon, and Chinook was wrapped back on itself at 11 as people funneled back uphill. Glad it emptied out after that.

Did you grow up skiing whistler/blackcomb? That would be a pretty good way to pick up the habit.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

Dunno what Queen line you were in, but at noon it was 20yds past the corral lines on each side.
Maybe it was a little later? Idk, I skied 3/4 of the way corral singles line on the N side. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That would've been neat, but no. Mostly Schweitzer as a kid.

rolled up to rain/sleet mix at crystal base. upper mountain on windhold. growing chinook line. skied right on to discovery with my youngest to quicksilver and back down to start her lesson. rain changed to snow about half way up quicksilver. dropper her off, down to my car in b-lot - skinned up to joe's shoulder area (nice skin track set by instructor led class) ski down was disappointing as the snow was really to heavy for a touring set up. and basically that was my ski day. my son in the freeride program had an awesome day (they get to skip the lines) - he said powder bowl, paradise bowl and parts of gv all skied great.

Chair 6 post lunch was no line and great skiing, glad we took an early car lunch after a frustrating morning and got back out there.
