Sorry guys. I'm late to the stoke thread here.

Last weekend we attempted the Fuhrer Finger but ended up turning back because of insanely warm temps + a late start. Ended up skiing from the top of the lower wilson back to the Nisqually bridge, which wasn't a bad consolation prize.

After putzing around and licking our wounds we decided to go for Nisqually Chute/the Muir snowfield the next day. We drank too much, slept too little, and had a leisurely stroll up the Muir the next day. The sunrise over the Tatoosh was amazing.

While everyone else chilled at Muir and shot the shit, my partners wanted to ski down early before the thaw (because of a woman). I agreed to hang out at Muir for a while longer (wasn't interested in skiing frozen bootpack hell, and I'm happily married), and I ended up making some rad friends. After complementing an older dude's skis, he asked me if I knew where I was going - I told him likely just back down the Muir, and he invited me to ski the Paradise glacier with him.

Scott, if you lurk here by any chance, thank you for showing me 4.5k of insanely good corn. Ended up being one of my favorite ski descents of the season, honestly not a bad consolation prize at all. Your kindness really means a lot to me.

I don’t think greenwater would still be there let alone the base area of 80” of snowpack disappeared in 24hrs.

Or there were a lot of dump trucks out there last night.

Spring touring on the Cascade Volcanoes is a unique and wonderful subset of skiing. It's what I miss most about leaving the PNW. Nicely done.

Not bad. Those top sheets seem to be in good shape which is rare for those older Moments. Mine are trashed. Great ski!

I havent been up yet but it's been damn windy and cold in Winthrop today with frost warnings tomorrow. I have a hard time believing there will be good corn tomorrow but I have been wrong before.

Been mulling a trip over this way. Any chance things could be in a corn cycle up high this week for the nice midweek weather? Or is the new snow gonna take a few days to get there?
