Early season usually involves some sort of creativity.

Excited to be here, what a summer it was riding, just finishing up getting my dwt mounted (had to take apart the old nunataq setup), After 10 years living in the CO high country and a short sojourn to the east coast, stoked to be living full time in the PNW. Brown pow didn’t let me down, hoping the white stuff doesn’t either!
Do I detect a lot of anger flowing around this place? Kind of like a pubescent volatility, some angst, a lot of I'm-sixteen-and-angry-at-my-father syndrome?

    fuck that noise.

I also skied bushes and grass at Stevens on Saturday. Service road up to the bottom of Tye Mill was OK. Skid Road to ridge was sub-optimal. Ridge up to Jupiter was good. Biking Sage Hills outside Wenatchee on Sunday morning was best.

^ good shit!, some is better than none. Hey if anyone wants some old bd glidelite skins, cut to some nunataq (sp?) 107 underfoot, not used in probably 3 seasons and stuck together in the bottom of bag for a few years now, let me know, free to a good home, zero guarantees about function. In QA, Seattle

I grew up in WA, born and raised. Passing on the right is abhorrent. It really irks me when people pass on the right at intersections.

I got my first turns in on Saturday too. Nine hundred vertical feet of glorious breakable crust! To top it off the road down from the trailhead had been polished into an ice rink so I put on chains before I left my parking spot.

    Yea. It’s terrible.

I was referring to the highway but still dangerous with people entering from the right.

My buddy spent some extended time in Seattle (from Chicago), and he called it the “conveyor belt”. Everybody drives the same speed so you have to wing around people on the right.

I once cruise controlled at 75 in the far right lane all the way home from alpental. Probably passed 100 cars.

Impressive, but I think he’s talking about passing on the right using the shoulder.

The move on eastbound I90 is to blast by in the far right lane during snowstorms inches from where everyone is chaining up. Gotta embrace the drift in your G-wagon on slicks as you fishtail and spray those peasants with road slush while everyone else merges over to leave the the right lane open as a safety buffer.

What’s wrong with passing on the right on the freeway? Pretty much have to in WA what with all the left lane campers.

What threw me off was your use of “highway”, growing up in WA the interstate was always referred to as the “freeway”.
