    First to open???

Ignoring northeast whatever park rat ropetow...

Abasin next week? They've been making snow for like a week now, and they're supposed to get 10" of the natural stuff before tuesday.

I suspect Wolf Creek wont be far behind. The GFS is more conservative, but the euro and canadian models have them at 3"+ of liquid through tuesday....

I dont love the drive from SLC, but if by the weekend were seeing 20"+ I may be physiologically obligated to chase

Skied Wolf Creek early season 2018 - it was off the chain. Like first day w/ a third of the mountain open....

    First to open???

I wish they would put the race to open first, on hold this year. It’s just pandering for the media attention and this year, it will be bad.

Colorado should wait until November 14. Then a bunch of resorts could open and spread out the crowds.
Then Ski Colorado and even those fuckers from Vail, who dropped out of the ski co-op. Could do a big promo, “Colorado is open”.

But instead, it will be every front range resort for themselves, forget the big picture.

First to open lift-served this season in North America was https://www.wildmountain.com/ on Oct. 19. While it was only one run/terrain park and a rope tow, they've stayed open and received more natural snow yesterday. If they stay open, I think they've won.

Wolfy is bone dry, currently. But several days straight with possible snow fall beginning this-coming Sunday.

I've been salivating all week. Never been so excited to drive 8 hours.....

I called yesterday and they indicated if it dumps they will open, but lifts and bathrooms only. No food or anything else.
