Sleeper day at Sunday River, too... I'm not sure whether it was the wet precip in the forecast or the proletariat pass being blacked out, but it may have been the lightest Saturday I've seen this year.

The snow didn't really start until something like 9 or 9:30, but then it started nuking. Skiing was pretty damn good when I bailed at 12:30 for family obligations and goggles that had given up any hope of being useful.

It turned to wet precip in town by 4, and clearing the driveway was a junk show, but I'm wondering if the upper portions of the mountain stayed dry.

I'm betting on a cluster tomorrow when everyone who skipped today hears that the skiing was good and the lines were MIA.

5600 reported at Stratton. Biggest day of the season but only 1/2 of a “normal” MLK Saturday.

Solid pasting here in the groovy UV (tm Akokskis, 2017), the ground should be solidly (emphasis on SOLID) white for a while.

It snowed quite a bit somewhere. I heard it was good all day. Gortex necessary. None left for Sunday. Beer time.

Yesterday's snow was complete paste. But overnight at the base of Magic we got 3" of fluff. Today may be the first day we wish we had the quad's capacity. 29 degrees. I can hear the wind but it's up high. Almost calm here at the bottom.

Wow, look at Bucket go, I am going to have to push harder to catch up this season.

28º bob, currently calm with 6 5/8" of new snow overnight.

Yesterday was a shitshow at the bush. HG on winhold until the afternoon and bravo breaking down at 9 led to crazy long lines. As expected an abundance of poor skiers/riders everywhere.

Gave up and went home to shovel the drive again. 10:30 and only 12 tracks on the ungroomed Lower Hotshot lol.

Haven't seen a line this long on the triple since '94 when it was Sugar Bravo

Skied home through the woods. Snow was dense but not supportive enough on a 106, really needed the Lotus 120's for float

And #19 on the German Flats ditch of shame. While the snorth™ access road isn't really GF the sign warrants inclusion. Couldn't figure out how they ended up there?

^^glad you got some snow in the MRV.

heh! those car mishaps must bring a sense of normalcy.

the little bit of snow we got here made for the best skiing since the pre-xmas dump. last weekend's ice was covered throughout with soft, dense snow.

To be fair (to be faaiirr) - the roads in the MRV were total shit yesterday. We only saw one town or state truck out and it didn’t even have its plow down. WTAF?

Anyway, today was a solo tour up to 3,000’ in the N Greens and the snow was deep (enough) and plenty supportive.

A few ridges over it was pretty good, but holy shit was it crowded. Saw about 50-60 people where I used to see 5-10.

    Found some solitude.

And was still able to find some
    Untracked.
