No really. I'm just trying to decide between the red one or a black one.

The first time I drove to Hunter on my own I thought I was the biggest badass in the world. I am coming off the top for my first run and I see all a bunch of skiers all shoulder to shoulder staring down lower K27. So as the biggest badass in the world i don't stop a beat, and send it off the lip into the moguls. For a split second I thought I was glen plake at cham, probably had by tails up near my back, too. This vision is shattered upon landing, when I realize the perfect looking moguls beneath me are completely refrozen mounds of garbage. My ski pops off and down I go tumbling. On a rotation before I stop I see the big group getting their gear straight to push off in the other direction.
Still my favorite (and only) fall.j'ai des grands instants de lucididididididididi

These are some amazing self deprecating stories. I feel like I'm reliving these in real time with you guys...keep them coming.

If you’re not falling, you’re not trying.
That being said, it’s still fun to laugh at Joeys and Jerrys.

What crust? I’m only finding a layer of solidified medium to hard density powder.
Speaking of Joey’s, twice today and once last week i skinned up my local spot with one boot in walk and the other locked thinking the whole time I’m just tired (skied 9 days straight). At the top switching over “fuck I skinned up locked on that boot” click the walk side up and lock the walk side and ski down with one locked one walk. Also the other day I never clicked in my heal and sped off over a jump with a shit landing, took a twig to the jugular, and have been walking around town with a gash that looks like a hicky from an overzealous lover.

That dudes a transplant, aka not a Vter
Edit to add: this dick and some of his transplant friends are radicalizing people I know that came from good families. He isn’t someone to joke about, and he certainly doesn’t represent the good people of southern VT. Thanks for triggering me.

Since we are telling Jerry stories.... I thought I would be slick Saturday night after some laps at Bolton and just ski down to my car in the lot. It was snowing pretty good the last hour or so with about 1-2 of fresh on the ground and when I was coming up to cross the road it was covered. So i kept my momentum up so I could make it across the road and nope, when I hit the first tire track it was like hitting a river of glue. Oh shit... I managed to keep my balance crossing the first lane but didn't make it past the second one. Skis just stopped dead in the middle of the road and I did a double eject to faceplant and almost made it to the first row of cars.. And of course it was the time that a LOT of people were leaving and were able to witness my impressive skills that I displayed. I am pretty happy that I don't know anyone here yet!

4 or so new inches skied amazing at Mad River today. Crust is gone and steeps were soft and smooth. If only I could always ski here mid week when it’s empty.
