My guess is people are crossing winches. From sterling I could see someone thinking mainstreet is good to ski.

Also there is more over night grooming right now to try to fix the freeze.

I heard it was people skiing without using pole straps. Stowe dislikes people that can’t “pole block” a turn.

As usual the wind dropped some snow on skiers left of Steins and filled in the moguls. 10:30 leftovers

Steeper lines were interesting with the underlying luge tracks. Mellower runs were fairly laid back.

No one here worries about pole straps as far as I know. But soup is well received.

    How about some Strings?

Hadn’t been the VVGG in 20+ years maybe?
Pulled the spring pass which gets me rest of the season plus next year, not a bad trade.
    I’ll take it.
Skiing = really fun no matter where it happens.
Goddam im happy to have boots back on.

FKNA you are correct. 19 days with the kiddos at JFBB this winter. Best Feb I remember. Burgers on the tailgate and a return the basics. Hopefully they’ll remember what stoke really is, turns with friends in any place. Better settings are great, great friends are better than any setting.

Currently nursing a broken big toe bang that I’m blaming on the 8 and 10 year old groms that love the park. Getting old sucks, kind of. Until you watch the commitment and progression of those that come next.

The creeper goggles and Powderhorn jacket still work, but that Pottsville swamp water does not. Try a Sip of Sunshine and you’ll never go back. Love the EC pic, any day outside is a good day.
    Best Regards,

    UMKP

Hell yeah, it's been a weird year for skiing , but I've been spending a bunch of local days with my 7 year old at Spring Mountain and Bear Creek, which make JFBB look like Alta in comparison. It's been a blast though, the little dude also is a wanna be park rat ,we've been going up with him doing virtual car school some days ,then we ski and hang the rest of the day to some night skiing , which I haven't done in decades. It's been super fun watching him get stoked on shredding the "diamond" gnar at these bumps, then some apres root beer!

19 days out of 28 is damn impressive! Your kids are lucky to have you showing the way!

Ironically- I almost packed a couple sips of sunshine for the trip but waived it off as my goal was just to get as many laps as possible in my window- also that 50 minute ride home not exactly conducive to packing a cooler / the getting old thing...

Met up with a buddy who lives on the hill he stuffed pockets with a few beers for us.. That can going was totally room temp, but tasted like champagne as I stood atop the old race hill and recalled the glory of my youth!
