I did sneak over for a White Heat run, which is almost contiguous in coverage but probably breaking up more in the near future.Attachment 372348Attachment 372349Attachment 372350

d00d, it's the one with the longest steepest widest lift-serviced expert trail in the East! I wish i still had my stacks of dead trees from decades ago to whip out an ad. never skied there though.

    Yup, Someday Bigger...eerrr, Sunday River.

The skiing in spots really was pretty good, and if Right Stuff corns up, it could be a really good top-to-bottom run...but just about everything else is some degree of sporty. I've got a pair of retired rental skis in the basement, those may come out for closing day (I think I can shove a gripwalk boot into the rental bindings).

Wasn’t bad. (Very) Limited terrain. The Jet was fun. Woods were 6” of light snow on dirt so a no go. People were poking around on closed terrain but anything without a man made base was an accident waiting to happen.

Status update for Fri, Apr 23

    6:25 AM

We're skiing and riding on 7 trails, with Stein's Run, Snowball, Spring Fling, and Coffee Run getting another pass from our groomers overnight. Be wary of hidden obstacles, particularly on ungroomed terrain, that might be buried under a couple inches of snow. We recommend you take it slow until you know.

"Another pass" on Stein's last night appears to have only been half way down on the first pass before a hydraulic blowout. 50+/- gallons of Dextron only gets you 75% of the way back up before the tank runs dry. With 3 hours to opening bell they better get moving to clean up isle 1 before the first skiers arrive.

Yeah. Both boys are fine. A bet testy and fatigued. And driving us nuts.

I spent 36 hours in bed. Up and about today but body aches and tight head.

I just feel bad for his birthday.
Spring skiing and buying parts for a computer build was all he wanted.
