Excellent cat! Wednesdays have indeed been great this year!

Hope your snowboarder buddy wears bibs or has a good belt. I got to follow this up the chair yesterday. Kept trying to throw cashews into to gap but they were too light.

Pipeline looks at end of April levels. Good to see you getting after it. How's that knee feeling?

36º socked in and sprinkling rain bob, 3/4" of new snow mid to summit on the cams that is going to fuck with the corn cycle.

    Nice out yesterday

yesterday was a gorgeous spring return to Magic after way too long.
noon arrival was awarded with great snow from the start and pretty fantastic in the sun by 2:00.
caught one last chair at 3:59 to make for a perfect ending.
nice sky for the ride home too.
    returning soon. ticket purchased. stoked!

East Coast Roll Call #??? 20-21 Covid closures and hard core touring! Be Fit or Sit

Yep and the umbrella bar is now open, let the shitshow begin.
I heard it was ugly up there yesterday. St Paddy’s and spring passes. Heard of near fights in the lift lines with maskers vs. dickheads. Also heard they made a ton of snow all over the hill, I heard the whales on Mouse Trap were huge. I think they want to keep folks spread out as long as possible. Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t keep making snow if they have good windows.

Summit of Stratton has been getting pasted all afternoon, snowflakes look like dinner plates right now, huge.

Really? Fist fights? Your fantasies are fucked. I was there Tuesday and Wednesday. Two of the finest late spring cycle March events ever. Super impressed at the quality of operations management there, and I have been a big critic of Powdr since inception. They really have their shit together. As always, an enormous amount of quality skiing compared to ANYBODY else, on that particular day. They spent a shit ton on quality grooming from Snowden to Bear, and I'll bet the beginners at Rams Head weren't complaining. Flight time, which was OK, because the woods were rock hard. Lift crowd management is superb. A bit crowded for mid March, but probably a lot of mid Atlantic families who won't fly. They were cool, but a lot of no pole geeks.

Next week is a major melt event. Grab the rock skis and get the last of the woods and old bumps. They flattened Superstar, which made for classic speed laps, but bumps will take a week.
