Thanks cat! Very kind of you to touch base.

Out of surgery with the best possible outcome so far. Stoked and also gorked out on painkillers. Better dayz ahead!

SC , the faster you start talking out your ass the faster you get to eat!! Get out of bed as soon and as often as they will allow. Good luck on the recovery.

    This.

Plus he's a solid dude when swapping gear.

Definitely going to hang with him next year in Maine.

    Heal quickly!

Thanks for all the positive vibes everyone! It is appreciated. I was able to get in some reasonable ski days this past Winter and look forward to many more next year, hopefully meeting up with more EC Mags. Enjoy those bumps on Superstar for me and someone throw a nice big helicopter for me. Telecopter scores double stoke points!

Sounds good Laps... no rush and feel free to sell them local if you have the chance.

No call outs or pressure for tricks from me. Bump
skiing tele is probably hard enough. I’ve been thinking of getting back into it with some Curtsy turns next season... it’s been over 20 years since I dipped a knee. Might look for boots and bindings over the Summer. I’m a size 27-ish boot if anyone has any collecting dust. My last boots were Merrill SuperComps with Riva Cable bindings, so anything is probably a massive upgrade. Free my heel and my ass might follow!

Last time I tried to throw a tele-hele I ended up in the hospital with an AC separation. I think I'll wait until SC gets released to have a beer with him.

Sounds good to me! Give me a few months to pick up some old tele gear and get my heels back under me and it would be nice to make some turns. My last telecopter was probably on the soft spring bumps of Mary Jane, CO on closing day 1993.

In other news... Maine is at it again reviving defunct ski areas. The ski hill formerly known a Squaw looks to have gotten approved for state funding to reopen/rebuild outside of Greenville, Maine.

Did you crash, singlecross? Or is this something you've been working up to for a while? Best of luck regardless, and I hope to share some turns one day.

please pardon the ignorance, I don't check over here very often (first time posting in a ECRC thread, I think)

    cheers all

I’ve got a pair of BD Push boots that I believe are a size 27 and a touch to small for me kicking about somewhere.

No crash... I had emergency surgery to have a section of my colon removed at Thanksgiving and was skiing with a colostomy bag all winter. Got reversed and reconnected yesterday. Good times!

I’m looking at spending the month of February out in Montana with the Ridge Hippies next season to make up for lost time. Would love to meet up.

Thanks Fenris... I’ll do some tele gear research in my downtime and let you know. Bummed to not be paddling this Spring.

Over the past few weeks, the "walking required" signs have gone from suggestions to pretty accurate. Some stuff is still pretty good top to bottom, but the thin spots are going quick. All photos are from open trails, second and third were labeled "walking required".

I did sneak over for a White Heat run, which is almost contiguous in coverage but probably breaking up more in the near future.Click image for larger version.
