Not a bad day at bromley... brought out the new Justis. It’s a ridiculously powerful and explosive for a full rocker, rides insanely smooth, carves trenches, pops hard, and will pivot immediately. And I didn’t find top speed today. Gonna need to get more mtn for that. All in all, kick ass day. Doing it all over tomorrow and Sunday.

    Yo Joey,
Goniff and I were there also yesterday. Great groomer zoomer day. I'll be back on Sunday (going to do Magique today). Red helmet, blue Freeride jacket, yellow pants. Ask for change if you see me.

Woulda taken more pics but that NW wind made it pretty darn cold. Nice to ski in the sun tho.

I will be there tomorrow as well. All black. Except for the xt3 boots and my skis. That wind was nasty. I never take pictures and hate looking like jerry but it was too good to not. Blue ribbon, peril, and panic might be open tomorrow, rumor has it

Not to turn this into tech talk, but what size? Assume alpine bindings?

I have a pair of the camox, which are 4-5 yrs old and maybe up for an upgrade - one of the areas for improvement would be the speed limit.

Felt inspired by the bike path nordorking. It's definitely nice to ski right out of the house! Lone rock was more walking than skiing though.

The summer cliff jumping at Lone Rock is the best. Many days spent out there years ago.

Weekend highlight, sad as it was, Morningstar soft leftovers. Yesterday with ML242's bro who is sheltering here.

The well worn BC's are perfect for the extra super thin natural trails. Just need a second pair of sharp skis for the never changing "every turn is the same" groomers.

Thinnest coverage I've seen on the Long Trail in 30 years of winter hiking.

Thought this spray of rock shaving by people "skiing" the first downhill section was funny. Several hundred rocks getting their first hit this year.

I enjoy the inversion pictures, more opportunity to get a picture the last few weeks than over the last 15 years.

    The forecast still sucks.

    ps, Skiing is still fun.

Getting lost with 6 inches of snow on the ground with temps in the mid 20s doesn't sound cool enough when you're trying to explain yourself on Facebook.

Ha! Saw that and wondered if the waist deep snow claim was a typo.

The warm sandwich continues, been watching this the last week and it has been consistent. Good time to do some winter camping in the Whites, just set up at 4k for comfy sleeping.

New day, new summit, same dumb inversion. At least the snow is good. The light sucks. Pico is empty.

If you try to walk through the woods at the top you will posthole very deep right now, but that's also due to breaking through the brush etc. but waist deep? I can say it was zero viz at the top of Cannon Friday.
I don't understand how they went up for their last run at 5:40 pm? It's totally dark at that time, and not bring a headlamp.
    Faek nooz!
